Just Enough Strength to Last Eternally

Romans 5:6-11

I’ve never had any strength or any type of power in this world. I’ve always been a weak and powerless person regarding the Bible and worldly authority. The powers of the internal government, those who govern by the mark of the beast, have always held superiority over me. In my inferior condition, even as a sinner against God, Jesus Christ gave His life for me. The same holds true for the human robots and anyone else. Jesus’s purpose is to reconcile all people to God, and salvation from eternal torment comes through Him. He is alive today after being raised from the dead and because He lives, I also have eternal life. That is something to talk about, to boast in God through Jesus Christ through whom I have reconciliation. In this year 2022, there seems to be an enormous disrespect for life and few if anyone is in the life-saving frame of mind. Yet, Jesus Christ stills saves.

The Gentile people during Paul’s day was totally without strength. Not only were they under the oppression of the Roman Empire but also were shunned by the Jewish people. They were powerless in worldly ways and powerless to know God. Paul explains that Jesus Christ came at that exact moment in time to die for them, the ungodly, and all of the ungodly. Christ didn’t die for them because they were righteous or good under the law, but because they were sinners. It was through God’s love that Jesus Christ died for them. Paul explains to the Jewish people that justification with God comes through the blood that Jesus Christ shed on the Cross. That is their salvation from the wrath that comes through God’s judgment. Furthermore, because Christ lives, they will live too, eternally. So, boasting for them should be to boast in God through the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom they have received reconciliation.

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still without strength, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
Romans 5:6-11
