Ancestor’s Faith, Modern Works

Romans 4:1-8

I like how the book of Romans explains how the law (Old Testament) is supposed to be interpreted. When Paul quotes the law, it is to highlight faith that leads to righteousness. Faith in Jesus Christ makes us righteous in God’s eyes. There was a time when the forefathers of America lived by that faith and God counted that as righteousness, nowadays it’s something entirely different. The new America, the new world order, is trying to do their own works to save the world. All of those good works do nothing to solicit God’s favor.

Today, holidays are redesigned to erase the heritage that is rooted on the righteousness that is found in Jesus Christ. National leaders are doing their own works to bring tolerance, equality, and fairness to a diverse nation. Eliminating Jesus Christ from the equation stirs up the wrath of God. I remember when Columbus Day included the people on the Mayflower, toting the Bible with them, eating Thanksgiving with the Indians, and evangelizing the western world, which is true. Now, it is called Indigenous People’s Day because those on the Mayflower are accused of being tyrants, cruel, intolerant, thieves, and murderers.

Many examples of the holidays-turned-secular can be listed, as I know you can think of some. The righteousness that comes through faith in Jesus Christ is being replaced by the works done through the mark of the beast. Even the US Constitution is being interpreted in a way to gut it of Christian foundations. They are working to unite the world under global guidelines that is full of blasphemy. They are working to create a one world culture, a one world constitution under the internal government of the mark of the beast.

The workers under the new global order can boast about the environmental and humanitarian work that they are doing, but it means nothing in the presence of God. God only recognizes the faith we have in Jesus Christ, that is our righteousness. Without Christ, sins are not forgiven, and the wrath of God’s judgment is to be expected. With Christ, sins are forgiven, and God seals our Salvation.

“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”
Romans 4:7-8

Paul explains to the Jewish people that they no longer have to do any work related to the law (Old Testament). Everything from washing hands before eating to slaughtering animals for sacrifice is no longer necessary. Try reading through the book of Leviticus to see the type of works they were doing. Paul pointed out that their forefather, Abraham, wasn’t even circumcised when God declared him righteous. Circumcision is one of the work requirements. God was looking at Abraham’s belief not whether he completed the work of being circumcised or not. Abraham is the father of us all, Jews and non-Jews alike. The required works under the law is finished. Faith and righteousness through Jesus Christ are enough to make us right with God. I have never done a day of work in my life under the law, yet it was the best day of my life when I came to Jesus by faith.

"What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, discovered in this matter? If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—
but not before God. What does Scripture say?
“Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation.
However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.
David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom
God credits righteousness apart from works:
“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”
Romans 4:1-8
