A prophecy against the global economy of the beast. “The burden of the word of the Lord against the land of Hadrach, and Damascus its resting place (For the eyes of men and all the tribes of Israel are on the Lord); Also agaist Hamath, which borders on it, and against Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.” Zachariah 9:1-2

Zachariah has a prophecy from the Lord against the cities mentioned above. It is a time when all the world and Israel are wondering what is going to become of them and the planet they live on. It is at the collapse of world government and the finality of the United Nations. Tyre and Sidon represent world trade and economic prosperity under the global government of the beast. They are the backbone of the structure of the global government and the world is seeing its collapse. The description of the fall of the global nations is described in more detail in Revelation 18.

“‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.

For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”

Revelation 18:2-3

Global government is built on the dirt and mud of economic prosperity. “For Tyre built herself a tower, heaped up silver like the dust, and gold like the mire of the streets. Behold, the Lord will cast her out; He will destroy her power in the sea, and she will be devoured by fire.” Zachariah 9:3-4

Dust and mire represent the filth of the global economy built in opposition to God. Economic prosperity within the unity of the United Nations comes by building a global culture that denies the existence of God, discards the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and is hostile to the Holy Spirit. Every people in every city of every nation are persuaded to live by the thing which forms what they think, feel, do and say. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them, and by what they say and do they value worldly possessions, comforts, pleasures, and money over God. They are conformed to the anti-Christian society by their love for the benefits of this world as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

Revelation 17 describes how the global government was built up. Also, more details are added in how the United Nations came into existence immediately after WW2 and brought the government of the beast, as described in Daniel 8.

Below is a partial quote from Revelation 17 of how the global economy and global government is established,

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written:

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.

I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

Revelation 17:1-6

Below are the highlights of the verses above,

1. The global government plays the harlot, meaning physical pleasures and comforts are used to seduce the world away from God to welcome the thing which forms thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors.
2. The global government sits on many waters meaning the global populations in every city around the world are subject to its political and economic authority.
3. The global government commits fornication with all the nations in this world. That means the collaboration of the United Nations transpires by the seduction of economic prosperity at the cost of rejecting God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.
4. Everybody on the earth, except those whose name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life, are made drunk with her fornication. That means they are under a delusion by the thing forming what they feel, think, do, and say to welcome the image of the beast to live and speak through them. They thrive on physical pleasures, physical comforts, prosperity, and possessions.
5. The woman and the beast cannot be distinguished one from the other as both blend with scarlet, and the woman wears purple. In other words, the global culture and whole government is one with the thing which forms what they think, feel, do and say. Those who live and govern for the global culture are treated like royalty, which means they do not tolerate criticism nor opposition. 6. The global government and its economic prosperity are built on blaspheming God on every continent around the world. It sets itself up as God in the temple of God, our body, as if it were God. That is done by forming what people think, feel, do, and say. Click here for a post on the “man of sin.”
7. The global government wears its economic prestige like jewelry for all the world to admire, desire, and long for.
8. The Bible calls the global government, with its economic prosperity, the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth. It is the reason for the tribulation on the earth and the cause of the Battle of Armageddon.
9. The global government persecutes the followers of Jesus Christ. We are not interested in the possessions, money, physical comforts, and sensual pleasures which come by serving the thing forming thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. Because we are not part of their anti-Christian global culture we are scoured from their social network. We hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Cities and nations around the world are devastated by the collapse of the global economy. “Ashkelon shall see it and fear; Gaza also shall be very sorrowful; And Ekron, for He dried up her expectation. The king shall perish from Gaza, And Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.” Zachariah 9:5

The expectations being dried up are the reliance on global support to sustain local and national economies. The global economy of the United Nations is depended on to sustain the welfare of nations, states, and cites. That would include jobs, food supplies, housing, the infrastructure, and everything a nation needs to survive and thrive. Cities and states will become wastelands with the collapse of the global economy because each nation’s economy is tightly intertwined with each other. When the global economy fails, it will be like standing dominos falling into one another knocking the global government to the ground.

“The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’

“And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore:

Revelation 18:9-11

Revelation 18:13 also includes people as part of the merchandise, which refers to human trafficking on various different levels of various types. “…and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.” Under the United Nations (global government of the beast), human trafficking will continue on until their world’s system ends. The thing that has power over physiology to empower people will abuse that power to take advantage of those they decide to traffic. It is wicked. It is of Satan.

The global economy will be overrun with dissenters of the global government. “A mixed race shall settle in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.” Zachariah 9:6

During the time of the end of the global economy and government of the beast, every city around the world will be filled with a “mixed race.” That “mixed race” refers to a world populated with people who refuse to live for the thing which forms what they think, feel, do, and say. They are mixed with those who live and govern for the global culture of the beast. Needless to say, it is a time of enormous conflict within the social structure, such as the severe global tribulation.

The intent of the United Nations (global government of the beast) is to keep the populations united, without mixing with those who oppose them. That is why there is the persecution of Christianity, we uphold belief in God, acknowledge the need for the remission of sin trough Jesus Christ, and embrace the Holy Spirit. We do not mix with those who deny the existence of God, discards Jesus Christ, and ridicules the Holy Spirit.

The pride of the global culture of the beast and its economy are cut off when they are no longer able to keep their society pure and free from those who oppose them. How does that “mixed race” happen? Because the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness. When that happens, the thing which forms what people think, feel, do, and say will not be functioning. People who were living by it will no longer have uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, extraordinary skills and talents, authority, amazing physical abilities, etc. They will be powerless to set themselves apart from those who they made “inferior” to them. The image of the beast will no longer be living and speaking through people and the mark of the beast will be powerless to conform people to their assigned place in life.

The destruction of the power center of the beast is described below,

Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

Revelation 16:10-11

What causes the destruction of the beast’s power center? Global warming does. Global warming is here and, in its intensity, plays a role in plunging the power center of the beast into darkness. Global warming is the Fourth Plague, and the loss of global power is the Fifth Plague. Global warming is described below,

Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Revelation 16:8-9

I will take away the blood from his mouth, and the abominations from between his teeth. But he who remains, even he shall be for our God, and shall be like a leader in Judah, and Ekron like a Jebusite. I will camp around My house because of the army, because of him who passes by and him who returns. no more shall an oppressor pass through them, for now I have seen with My eyes. ” Zachariah 9:7-8

To “take away the blood from his mouth” refers to rendering the viciousness of the global government of the beast powerless. The global economy will no longer be effective in sinking its teeth into nations to coerce submission to its power and authority. No longer will the global government be in a position to claim itself as being God. The end of the persecution of the followers of Christ comes to an end. The abominations and atrocities committed against God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit will be taken away from between the teeth of the global government. That is the day when the Battle of Armageddon brings an end to this present world’s system.

The Battle of Armageddon is the Fifth Plague (Revelation 12-16) and comes after the power center of the beast is made powerless, which is a result of global warming. Those who remain faithful to God through the testimony of Jesus will receive eternal life in the New Jerusalem within the new heaven and new earth. No more will the oppressor, an enemy of God and Jesus Christ, come near us because God will surround us in the Paradise He has prepared for us.

The first coming of Jesus Christ. “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; The battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.’” Zachariah 9:9-10

Through the Holy Spirit, Zachariah gave a clear prophecy of what we are already seeing in the world today, and what future generations of the followers of Christ can expect. The global government and its powerful economy will collapse, there will be world tribulation, and the Battle of Armageddon follows. With that, the prophecy is also given to us of the first coming of Jesus Christ to assure us that He is the King of kings who brings eternal Salvation to us. Jesus Christ came as a lowly person riding on a donkey, nothing like a valiant military leader riding on a stallion. He came to cut off war and violence, to speak peace to the nations of the world, and His Gospel is in every city around the world. His Kingdom is an eternal one.

The fulfillment of prophecy concerning the first coming of Jesus Christ is as quoted below,

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

 Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”

All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

“Tell the daughter of Zion,
‘Behold, your King is coming to you,
Lowly, and sitting on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”

So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

“Hosanna to the Son of David!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
Hosanna in the highest!”

Luke 2:10-14 and Matthew 21:2-9

“As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.” Zachriah 9:11

The “blood of the covenant” refers to the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed on the Cross to atone for sin and reconcile us to God. The covenant God made with us is summarized like this, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 As it stands, we are prisoners of sin without the Lord Jesus, so as we live in His light, we are made free from the waterless pit. The waterless pit refers to living without the Water of Life (Jesus Christ).

The prisoners of sin living in the waterless pit are evident to see nowadays. It’s a world where love has gone cold, and every way of life is encouraged except for the way taught in the Holy Bible. People in every city around the world refuse to live in the light of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Instead, they welcome the thing which forms what they think, say, feel, and do and it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them. By what they do and say, they deny the existence of God, discard the Gospel of Christ, and are hostile to the Holy Spirit. They are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” Zachariah 9:12

“Prisoners of hope” are everyone who are locked into hope for a better a life. The global populations have their hope locked in the goals of the United Nations to create an earthly utopia (they call it the salvation of the planet and all of humanity). The Jewish people were once locked into the hope in reaching the promised land, but they strayed from that hope when they rejected Jesus Christ and had Him killed. The only hope is to turn to Jesus Christ who is the stronghold against sin who gives us the inheritance of the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem. God restores double to us through Jesus Christ, as quoted below,

So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 

Matthew 19:28-29

“For I have bent Judah, My bow, fitted the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you like the sword of a mighty man.” Zachariah 9:13

To bend Judah is like bending a bow in preparation to shoot an arrow. Jesus Christ is from the Tribe of Judah and is the Bow of Judah who was sent by God during His first coming. For the Bow of Judah to have the arrow of Ephraim refers to the raising up of Christianity. Ephraim received the blessing of his older brother which refers to Christianity receiving the blessings once intended for Israel. Those who are born of Jesus Christ receive the blessings of the Holy Spirit and eternal life and are like mighty people in the battle against spiritual wickedness.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ. “Then the Lord will be seen over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord God will blow the trumpet, and go with whirlwinds from the south.” Zachariah 9:14

The verse above is describing the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. He will be seen coming from the sky like a flash of lightening, “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him.” Revelation 1:7 “For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:27 When the Seventh Trumpet sounds, that is the day of the return of Jesus Christ, “Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” Revelation 11:15

“The Lord of hosts will defend them; They shall devour and subdue with slingstones. They shall drink and roar as if with wine; They shall be filled with blood like basins, like the corners of the altar.” Zachariah 9:15

That day is described in the verses below,

Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.”

And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Revelation 19:17-21

“The Lord their God will save them in that day, as the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land— For how great is its goodness and how great its beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women.” Zachariah 9:16-17

Salvation is for all of us who are of the flock of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We thrive on the grain of the Bread of Life (Gospel of Christ) and drink the new wine (His blood of the New Testament). We are a jewel in His crown as those who come to God though Him.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we will be lifted up from this earth like a banner for all to see. All those who rejected the Lord Jesus Christ and chose the thing which forms what they think, feel, do, and say will see. They will see the dead in Christ being resurrected from their graves and the Christians still alive being taken up into the sky together. First, the dead in Christ will be raised from the grave to be with Jesus in the sky, then milliseconds after, those who are still alive on this earth will be in the sky with Jesus too. That happens at the very end of the existence of this world’s system,

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
