Today, we know there is no promised land here on earth, the promised land is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. That is the inheritance of everyone who reconciles to God through Jesus Christ. For a description of the New Jerusalem, read Revelation 21 and also Revelation 22.

In the picture below, the sanctuary is in the yellow box “AKD.” In the New Jerusalem, God and the Lamb are the Temple, “I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.” Revelation 21:22

This is a map of what the divisions of land for the Twelve Tribes of Israel would look like on earth. In the New Jerusalem, the Twelve Tribes of Israel are the 12 gates, within the new heaven and earth. “It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.” Revelation 21:12 This reveals that Ezekiel’s description of the twelve gates being the Twelve Tribes of Israel in chapter 48:30-35, is referring to the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth,

The foundations are the Twelve Apostles, “Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” Revelation 21:14

The picture below is how the territory of the land of Israel looks today, which is a carbon copy of how Ezekiel described it over a couple thousand years ago [in the picture above]. You can see the big chunk which the West Bank occupies in the territories of the promised land. The Gaza Strip also occupies a portion of Israel toady, in the Southwest corner on the border of the sea.
