This chapter of Ezekiel is describing the chambers of the priests and the measurements of the outer wall, which is a perfect square. A picture of the priest’s chambers and outer wall is shown in the picture at the bottom of the page.
Jesus Christ has replaced every priest and minister on this earth, as He has become the only Priest able to minister to the spirit and soul. If Jesus Christ was on this earth, He would not be a priest, minister, or any other such thing. The best of all the earthly ministers is only a shadow of Jesus Christ in us, such as the Ten Commandments is only a shadow of the Holy Spirit in us that fulfills those laws within our heart. “For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle.” Hebrews 8:4-5
The true Temple is our body as the home of the Holy Spirit, a sanctuary built by the Lord, not by the hands of a person. Jesus Christ is the only Priest of the sanctuary.
“Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer. For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.”
Hebrews 8:1-6
Like the instructions given to Moses to make the tabernacle, so are all of the instructions given to Ezekiel in describing the Holy City and the Temple. Those descriptions are now swallowed up in Jesus Christ, who makes us the Temple of God on this earth, and are symbolic for the Holy City of the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. Thus, the “Third Temple” is not built anywhere on this earth.

The description of every aspect of the Temple is found from Ezekiel40 through 48, which corresponds to the eternal New Jerusalem in Revelation 21 and Revelation 22. The symbolisms of Ezekiel 47 is the same as the New Jerusalem in the New Heaven and earth, which speaks of the eternal leaves of healing and the waters of life, and so much more.
