God ousts the many church ministers and replaces with the one and only, Jesus Christ

In the previous verses of Ezekiel 33:30-33 the phony churches are described.

  • Ministers of the churches have abandoned the Gospel of Christ and serve their own needs.
    • Earthly shepherds feed themselves and not the congregation.
    • Earthly shepherds live bountifully but neglect the congregation.
    • Earthly shepherds rule with cruelty instead of healing and seeking the lost.
    • Earthly shepherds cause the sheep to be scattered and to become prey in the world.
    • Earthly shepherds abandon the sheep with no one looking for them.
  • God has made Jesus Christ the Minister and Shepherd over His congregation.
    • Jesus Christ replaces the fallible earthly ministers.
    • Jesus Christ delivers the flock from earthly ministers.
    • Jesus Christ was sent by God to search for the lost sheep.
    • Jesus Christ gathers His sheep from across the globe to feed us with the Water and Bread of life.
    • Jesus Christ feeds us in the rich pasture among the good fold.
    • Jesus Christ brings healing of the spirit and soul.
  • Jesus Christ will judge each one of us apart from the judgment of earthly ministers.
    • God will judge each person through Jesus Christ.
    • God admonishes the earthly ministers for tearing down and corrupting the Gospel of Christ.
    • God admonishes the earthly ministers for feeding the flock with spiritual corruption.
    • God will judge through Jesus Christ those who feed on His Spirit and those who don’t.
    • God admonishes earthly ministers for chasing the sheep from the churches.
    • God saves His sheep through Jesus Christ who is our judge.
  • Jesus Christ is the only minister of our soul.
    • Jesus Christ is the only shepherd over His sheep.
    • Jesus Christ is the Son of the God.
    • Jesus Christ is the covenant that God makes with us.
    • Jesus Christ sends us showers of blessings through God.
    • Jesus Christ gives us freedom from sin and blossoms of life in the Spirit.
    • Jesus Christ gives us peace and security in the New Jerusalem.
    • Jesus Christ gives us the garden of renown in the New Jerusalem.
    • Jesus Christ is our assurance that we are the people of God.

Ministers of the churches have abandoned the Gospel of Christ and serve their own needs.
Shepherds feed themselves and not the congregation. “And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?” Ezekiel 34:1-2

We can envision a sheep herder sitting in a lawn chair, eating, and drinking while the sheep wander away, goes astray, becomes lost, or are eaten by wolves. That sheep herder should be feeding and caring for the sheep instead of sitting in a lawn chair and feeding self. That is what the Pharisees were doing when Jesus Christ walked on the earth and is what the leaders of the Jewish culture and the ministers of the churches of today are doing.

Shepherds refer to those who preach, teach, and guide a congregation of people. Today, the Jewish culture have shepherds over their flock, but they are doing it to satisfy their own self-interests instead of feeding the flock with the will of God. The will of God for the Jewish people is to accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah. Instead, the Jewish leaders have discarded the entire Gospel of Christ, the entire New Testament. The Jewish culture live only by the Old Testament. The Jewish shepherds are feeding their own self-interests for the Jewish culture as they refuse to feed their people with the testimony of Jesus.

Today, the ministers of the churches have abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They should be preaching, teaching, and guiding their congregation with this description of the Gospel, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Instead, they stand before the congregation, not according to the will of God, but according to their own motivations, to feed themselves.

The ministers of today’s churches stand in front of their congregation and are being led by the entity that gives them what to say, feel, think, and do. This entity makes war with the testimony of Jesus Christ. This is the entity that enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people and by what they say and do they oppose the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The ministers of the churches, along with the masses across the globe, are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

Shepherds live bountifully but neglect the congregation. “You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock.” Ezekiel 34:3

In the Old Testament, an animal was slaughtered as a sacrifice to the Lord for various offerings. In particular types of sacrifices, the blood and the fat would be burned in the fire to the Lord. The right shoulder/breast and thigh were given to the priests to eat, and the rest was given to the people to eat. Unfortunately, the priests began to become greedy. When the slaughter of the fatlings was made, the priests began to eat the fat with the meat, keep the wool to make themselves fine clothes, and did not feed the flock with the remainder of the meat.

Today, we know that the Burnt Sacrifice made in the Old Testament represents the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the Cross to atone for sin. He shed His blood as the sacrificial Lamb of God. Today, the Jewish people do not see Jesus as the fatling led to the slaughter to forgive their sin. They do not feed their people with the message that Jesus Christ is the sacrificial Lamb of God who atoned for their sin by dying on the Cross. Instead of clothing their flock with the wool of the Holy Spirit, the Jewish priests clothe themselves in Jewish culture. Instead of sharing the fat/abundance received through Jesus Christ, they withhold it from their flock.

Today, the ministers of the churches have abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ as they hack to pieces and slaughter the word of God. No longer do the ministers preach and teach that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who was sacrificed on the Cross to forgive sin. No longer is it heard that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death to give us eternal life. No longer is it preached that hell is an eternal place of punishment for those who reject Jesus Christ. No longer is it preached and taught that Jesus Christ is coming back. The ministers of the churches are not feeding the flock with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The ministers of the churches of today are eating the fat of worldly abundance that comes to them. They do not have a thought for the need of the congregation to come to God through Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin. The are not working for the spiritual rewards through Jesus Christ but are working for earthly wages/benefits. They clothe themselves in fine worldly clothing but do nothing to shepherd the congregation through the gates of Holiness by the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist preached about the coming of Jesus Christ and the need to repent of sin. John lived in the desert, ate wild honey, and was clothed in camel’s hair. Jesus said this about John, “But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.” Matthew 11:8 Also, “Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Matthew 8:19-20 Jesus says to us, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24

Those who minister over congregations in the churches receive money, possessions, and physical comforts and must feel like kings in soft clothing. They are far from being a John the Baptist and far from denying self and taking up their cross to follow Jesus. They are doing nothing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are earning their wages for keeping the message of the Cross out of the ears of the congregation. They mention God but discard the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. God is a Trinity, so wherever God is mentioned the name of Jesus will be glorified and the Holy Spirit will be there as well. Those three are one. To mention God without recognizing Jesus and the Holy Spirit is to serve a false god.

Shepherds rule with cruelty instead of healing and seeking the lost. “The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them.” Ezekiel 34:4

The leaders of the Jewish culture are not strengthening the spiritually weak, nor healing the spiritually sick, nor fixing the spiritually broken, nor bringing back the spiritually lost. Jesus Christ, whom they reject, is the only one who can restore the Jewish people to a right relationship with God and to be healed by the Holy Spirit. The Jewish leaders force their people to reject the testimony of Jesus as they have discarded the New Testament from their Bible. The Jewish leadership is cruel in denying their people the spiritual healing that comes by believing and living for Jesus Christ.

The ministers of the churches of today do nothing to build their congregation up in Jesus Christ. They do not strengthen the weak, heal the sick, fix the broken, nor seek the lost. They force people away from life in Jesus Christ and cruelly oppress the presence of the Holy Spirit in blaspheme against God. The leaders of today’s churches depend on the entity with power over physiology to heal, strengthen, and fix those in their congregation. This entity has the power to influence what people feel, think, say, and do but does nothing to heal people spiritually. In fact, this entity hardens the spirit and conscience against Jesus Christ to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through people. The congregations are being groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

Shepherds cause the sheep to be scattered and to become prey in the world. “So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered.” Ezekiel 34:5

God wants everyone to be gathered to Him through Jesus Christ. When people are not being gathered to Him, then they are being scattered because there is not a shepherd to bring people together through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Without hearing the Good News of repentance and new life, people become prey for the lion that is looking for someone to devour, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 Today’s culture is devouring Christianity and Israel.

The Jewish people have no shepherd to gather them to God through Jesus Christ. Because they have no Christian leadership, the Jewish people are scattered away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14

As God has shown us today, the Israelis are “food for all the beasts of the field.” They have been in 18 wars since the year they were established as the State of Israel in 1948, Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. The members of the United Nation have opened a case of genocide against the government of the State of Israel, World Court to hear Genocide Case Against Israel. They have also opened a war crimes investigation against the leaders of Israel, etc. With that, the global culture riot and protest against the existence of the State of Israel, and even the United States has determined it to be illegal for the Israelis to reside in the West Bank, Click here for news article on “White House reverses West Bank policy, calling Israeli settlements illegal.

All of the hostility coming against the Jewish people is due to their rejection of Jesus Christ, which includes their dying and suffering in the Holocaust during WW2. They had no shepherd 2000 years ago to lead them to accept Jesus Christ, they were scattered around the globe (between 70AD and 1948) and became prey for the beasts of the field. If they had accepted Jesus Christ, they would not be Jewish, they would be Christian. As Christians, they would not have suffered as a nation of people during the Holocaust. As Christians, the State of Israel would never have existed because as Christians we do not have a nation on this earth to call our own. Our nation is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.

Coming to Jesus Christ gives our life a whole new direction, just like how different the Jewish destiny would have been if they would have had shepherds to lead them to Jesus Christ. Coming to Jesus Christ would have spared them the suffering of the Holocaust and the constant conflict in the Middle East. Today, the people have no shepherd to lead them to a life-changing direction through Jesus Christ because the churches have abandoned His Gospel. People suffer, die, and live a life filled with conflict because they do not have shepherds to lead them to Jesus Christ. They are food for all the beasts of the field.

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:14-15

Shepherds abandon the sheep with no one looking for them. “My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.” Ezekiel 34:6

In 70AD, Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman general, Titus, who became the Roman Emperor after that. The Jewish people were scattered and dispersed over the whole face of the earth. They were alienated from the land of Israel until 1948, when Israel was declared the State of Israel and all the Jewish people regathered there. Between the period of 70AD and 1948, there were no Jewish leaders seeking for the Jewish people to bring them together again.

Between that same period of time of 70AD and 1948, Jesus Christ was searching for His sheep, and His Gospel spread over the whole face of the earth. While the Jewish people continue to reject Jesus Christ to this day, the population of Christianity has multiplied all across the globe.

Before the coming of Jesus Christ, His sheep were scattered over the whole face of the earth. Jesus Christ decribes who His sheep are in this way, “‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27 The Jewish people do not hear His voice, do not know Him, nor do they follow Him. We Christians hear His voice, He knows us, and we follow Him. Jesus Christ is the only one who cared enough to bring a message of forgiveness, repentance, and Salvation to every person in every city across the globe and being Jewish was not a requirement. No one else was searching for them. This is the Gospel Message, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

God has made Jesus Christ the Minister and Shepherd over His congregation.
Jesus Christ replaces the fallible earthly ministers. “‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: “As I live,” says the Lord God, “surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock— ” Ezekiel 34:7-8

In this verse, God lays the foundation of why He replaces the earthly ministers with His Son Jesus Christ. This includes the Jewish leaders as well as all the ministers of the churches of today. Very simply, God is the Creator of the sheep, but earthly ministers are only “hired” to attend to the sheep, as quoted, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.” John 10:11-13

Under the care of the earthly shepherds, God’s flock has become a prey and food for every beast of the field. They have become prey to the entity that sits within the body of a person to give them what to think, feel, say, and do. This entity devours belief in God, scoffs at the need for the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ and oppresses the presence of the Holy Spirit. The global culture lives by that entity and by what they say and do they come against the sheep. There are no earthly ministers trying to warn the sheep against living by the entity that gives them what to think and feel to influence what they say and do. Even so, Jesus Christ gives us the Holy Spirit to live within our spirit and soul to make us aware to guard our thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors.

Jesus Christ makes us His home by the infilling of the Holy Spirit through the forgiveness of sin. No earthly minister on this planet is able to forgive sin and to fill a person with the Holy Spirit, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19 Earthly ministers are not able to guard us from the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”.

We no longer depend on earthly ministers to protect and guard our spirit and soul. Jesus Christ has given us the Spirit so that we know for ourselves the things of God, “For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2:11-12

Only Jesus Christ can give us victory within spiritual warfare, earthly ministers cannot win that battle for us, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

“For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.” Hebrews 7:26-28 “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” Hebrews 9:12

Jesus Christ delivers the flock from the earthly ministers. “…therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.” Ezekiel 34:9-10

How did God deliver His flock from the mouth of the earthly ministers? By sending His Son Jesus Christ to atone for sin and to give us a personal relationship with God by making us the temple of Holy Spirit. “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? ” 1 Corinthians 6:19

We are no longer fed by the spirit of earthly ministers, and they are no longer able to claim a special relationship with God. Jesus Christ is our minister, and He has caused the need for earthly ministers to cease and has taken away their ability to keep the word of God to themselves. Today, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of God, not by every word that comes from earthly ministers, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 The earthly ministers will be held responsible for the influence they hold over the flock.

The true sanctuary of God is not the earthly churches erected by the hands of people, but His sanctuary is our body as the home of the Holy Spirit with Jesus Christ as the minister. “Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.” Hebrews 8:1-2

If Jesus Christ was on this earth, He would not be a minister of the churches, “For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest…” Hebrews 8:4

“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.” Hebrews 8:7 Jesus Christ is referred to as the New Covenant, which means there was an Old Covenant, and that Old Covenant was through written laws and enforced by earthly ministers. The New Covenant is within our spirit and soul, not according to the ordinances of people but according to the Spirit. “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Romans 8:3-4

The entity that gives people what to think, feel, do, and say wants to replace Jesus Christ as the minister over the temple, our body. It is an earthly minister that discards the Spirit and is the one “… who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on the “man of sin”. God will hold this entity responsible for corrupting His flock with its power over physiology and cause it to cease, “…whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:8

Jesus Christ was sent by God to search for the lost sheep. “‘For thus says the Lord God: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.” Ezekiel 34:11-12

It is indeed a dark and cloudy day when masses of people are scattered and separated from Jesus Christ, who is the Light of the world. “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12

God could no longer depend on the Jewish leaders to bring the Israelites into obedience to His will and to the Ten Commandments. The majority of the Israelites had gone astray to follow other gods that were literally opposite of the Ten Commandments. God sent Jesus Christ to search for and seek out the Jewish people to gather them to be reconciled to the will of God. The first mission of Jesus Christ was to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, “But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24

Jesus Christ gathered many of the Jewish people to reconcile them to God, as described, “And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19;9-10 Also, every one of the Twelve Apostles were Jewish. Jesus Christ was indeed searching for and seeking out God’s lost sheep among the Israelites.

Jesus spoke these words to the woman seeking His help and she was despised by the Jewish people/Israelites, “Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” Matthew 15:25-26 He was saying that He was there to feed the Jewish people, not those outside of that congregation. The woman said something to Him that reflects His ministry to the whosoever, to everyone outside the Jewish people, “And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Matthew 15:27 The faith of this despised woman touched the heart of Jesus, and He granted her request, “Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” Matthew 15:28

Jesus Christ also told the Jewish people that they were not His sheep because they do not believe Him, “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:26-28 We who believe in Him are those who hear His voice and we are His sheep.

Paul was a lost sheep of the house of Israel, a Jew of all Jews, and a chief Pharisee before He saw the light and received Jesus Crist as His Lord. After the Jewish people opposed His testimony about Jesus Christ, he said this, “But when they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook his garments and said to them, “Your blood be upon your own heads: I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.” Acts 18:6

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13 The sheep that Jesus Christ searches for and seeks out are whoever believes in Him, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jesus Christ gathers His sheep from across the globe to feed us with the Water and Bread of life. “And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country.” Ezekiel 34:13

Today, we know that there are no blessings mentioned for the Jewish people in the New Testament. All the blessings mentioned for Israel in the Old Testament have become the blessings of those who serve God through Jesus Christ. “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” Romans 2:28-29

The Jewish people were also scattered on a dark and cloudy day when Titus, a Roman general, desolated Jerusalem and slaughtered the Jewish people. Titus became the Roman Emperor. Titus desolated Jerusalem in 70AD and the Jewish people remained scattered and dispersed all across the globe until 1948, when the State of Israel was established. It was then that the Jewish people were regathered to the land of Israel.

God gathered the Jewish people to the State of Israel as the place where He unleashes His judgment on them for rejecting His will for them to receive Jesus Christ as their Messiah. “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.” Ezekiel 22:19-20

We also know that the sheep of God are those who hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. The Jewish people do not hear, nor do they believe, “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:26-27

Today, God brings His sheep out from the peoples of the world and will gather us into our own land called the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. We are those who come to God through Jesus Christ and embrace the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ made it clear that the “sons of the kingdom” (the Jewish people) will not inherit the New Jerusalem, but His followers will. His followers are those gathered from east and west and sit with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in Heaven, “And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12

Jesus Christ feeds us in the rich pasture among the good fold. “I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down,” says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 34:14-15

When the Bible speaks prophecies about rich blessings for Israel, we have to recall that there are no blessings for the Jewish people mentioned in the New Testament. The blessings of Israel are transferred to those who receive Jesus Christ. Christianity is the younger of God’s children and Israel the older. The blessings of God are given to the younger as His heirs instead of given to the “rightful” older heirs. As quoted, “…it was said to her, “The older shall serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.” Romans 9:12-13

The Holy Spirit speaks to us through the Old Testament of how Christians (the younger) receive the blessings of the Jewish people (the older). As already mentioned, there is Jacob who received Esau’s blessing, Genesis 27. Before that, there was Able who received Cain’s blessing, Genesis 4:1-9. There was Zerah who received Perez’s blessing, Genesis 38:27-30. There was Ephraim who received Manasseh’s blessing, Genesis 48:8-20. And there was Moses who became God’s leader and not his older brother Aaron, Exodus 7:7. This is known as the “scarlet cord” that points to Jesus Christ as the Messiah, whom the first-born Jewish people rejected, but the younger Christianity receives Him.

When God says that He will feed them in good pasture, and their fold will be on the high mountains, that they will lie down in a good fold, be fed in rich pasture, and that He will feed His flock, all those blessings have been transferred to Christians. When the Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ, they forfeited their inheritance, and the inheritance of the New Jerusalem was transferred to those who receive Jesus Christ. There is only one “seed”, not two “seeds”, there is not one for the followers of Christ and the other for the Jewish people. “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.” Galatians 3:16

We who receive Jesus Christ are fed in the good pasture where the fruit of the Holy Spirit blossom. Our fold includes everyone who will be on the high mountain of the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. We lie down in the good fold among everyone who lives for God through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. We feed on the rich pasture where the Bread of Life grows and the Water of Life flows. God feeds us Himself through Jesus Christ and we will feed in the New Jerusalem on the eternal fruit of the Tree of Life.

“The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.”
Psalms 23:1-3

“For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.” Romans 9:6-8He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13

Jesus Christ brings healing of the spirit and soul. “I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment.” Ezekiel 34:16

When Jesus Christ walked on this earth, His ministry focused very much on the Jewish leaders who were leading the sheep away from God. They caused the flock to wander from God as lost sheep and they were driven away from Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.” Matthew 23:15 The Jewish leaders were described as the fat and strong and Jesus Christ came to destroy the grip they had on the lean and weak. They will be fed the fury of God’s judgment.

Jesus Christ also said this about the unbelieving Jewish people, “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:26-28

Jesus Christ came to destroy the fatness and strength of sin that holds us captive to spiritual death and eternal hell. “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:13-15

As Jesus Christ said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19

Today, the fat and the strong of this world is the entity that has power over physiology to give people what to think, feel, do, and say. This entity drives people away from belief in God, drives them away from the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, and drives them away from the presence of the Holy Spirit. People are lost. The entity of this world enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. They are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. God is going to feed the world government and its global culture with judgment.

Everyone can see the judgment of God in this world through global warming, which is the Fourth Plague in Revelation 16:8-9. The more powerful the United Nations become as the one world government the more intense the heat of global warming becomes. Global warming is instrumental in bringing the destruction of the power center of the beast in the Fifth Plague in Revelation 16:10-11. That renders the world government and its global culture powerless, which brings the Battle of Armageddon in the Sixth Plague of Revelation 16:12-17. The Day of the Lord follows, and the return of Jesus Christ comes. Click here for a post on the Seven Plagues.

Jesus Christ will judge each one of us apart from the judgment of earthly ministers.
God will judge each person through Jesus Christ. “‘And as for you, O My flock, thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I shall judge between sheep and sheep, between rams and goats.” Ezekiel 34:17

We frequently say that the Jewish culture has rejected Jesus Christ, and their destiny is eternal hell instead of the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. Even then, each individual Jewish person can choose to leave the Jewish culture to live for God through Jesus Christ. In this respect, the broad way of the Jewish culture leads to destruction, but the narrow way of a born-again Jewish person leads to life. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14 God judges between person and person and between those who choose Him and those who don’t.

God has given the authority of all judgment to Jesus Christ for the purpose of causing Jesus to be honored the same as God His Father. To say that we live for God is to say that we live for Jesus Christ, and to say that we honor God is to honor Jesus Christ at the same time. “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.” John 5:22-23 Each person’s relationship to God is according to the relationship we have with Jesus Christ. Judgment will be made between those who believe Jesus Christ and those who do not.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’” Matthew 25:31-36

God is a Trinity who includes God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Where God is there is also Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. To talk about God while excluding Jesus and the Holy Spirit is to serve a false god. God sent His Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life, and Jesus fills us with the Holy Spirit by the forgiveness of sin. “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. “Colossians 2:19

God admonishes the earthly ministers for tearing down and corrupting the Gospel of Christ. “Is it too little for you to have eaten up the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the residue of your pasture—and to have drunk of the clear waters, that you must foul the residue with your feet?” Ezekiel 34:18

A pasture is a field suitable for grazing sheep and clear water is for the sheep to drink. Jesus Christ grazes His sheep with the Bread of Life and gives the Water of Life to drink. Jesus is the Bread and Water of Life. “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” John 6:35

The leaders of the Jewish culture have eaten up the good pasture by rejecting Jesus Christ and withholding the Bread of Life from their flock. The Bread is the Gospel of Christ, the entire New Testament. The Jewish culture only live by the Old Testament and have tossed aside the New Testament. They have tread down the residue of the pasture with their feet. The Jewish leaders have drunk of the clear waters of the Ten Commandments, but they foul the life-giving waters of Jesus Christ that gives nourishment to the spirit and soul.

The ministers of the churches of today have eaten up the good pasture by abandoning the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With that, they tread down the word of Life that exists within the spirit, words, and behaviors of the members of their congregation. They drink up the clear waters that should be nourishing the spirit and soul of their flock as they foul the waters flowing through the heart and mind of their congregation.

The entity that gives people what to think, feel, say, and do eats up the good pasture and tramples down any spiritual growth by hardening the spirit and conscience against Jesus Christ. This entity drinks up the clear waters of the spirit and conscience as it fouls the thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors that would be flowing with Holiness. This entity enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people by treading down the Spirit’s pasture and fouling the Spirit’s waters. Its global flock is groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

In Matthew 23:13-36, our Lord Jesus Christ has plenty to say about the spiritual corruption of the Jewish leaders and of the ministers of today’s churches.

God admonishes the earthly ministers for feeding the flock with spiritual corruption. “And as for My flock, they eat what you have trampled with your feet, and they drink what you have fouled with your feet.” Ezekiel 34:19

The flock of the Jewish leaders are eating from the preaching and teaching which tramples down the testimony of Jesus Christ. The flock is taught to discard the New Testament and to reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah. The Water of Life needed to nourish the spirit and soul has been fouled and muddied by polluting the name of Jesus. This is strange preaching in the eyes of the Lord.

“Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying: ‘By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.’” Leviticus 10:1-3

The flock of the ministers of the churches of today are eating from preaching and teaching that has abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The congregation of the churches are drinking water that pollutes their spirit and soul instead of feeding on Jesus Christ, “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—” 2 Corinthians 11:3-4

Jesus Christ says to us, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” Matthew 16:5-6

The masses of the global culture are feeding on what is fed to them by the entity giving them what to think and feel to influence what they say and do. This is a strange source by which to feed on. The bread and water being served is to nourish and give life to the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. People everywhere are being leavened to be groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

God will judge through Jesus Christ those who feed on His Spirit and those who don’t. “‘Therefore thus says the Lord God to them: “Behold, I Myself will judge between the fat and the lean sheep.” Ezekiel 34:20

God will judge each person of the Jewish culture through Jesus Christ, “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.” John 5:22-23 The one person whom God has made judge over every person is the One who the Jewish people have thrown out from their culture. Jesus Christ will judge between those who are fat on the Jewish culture and those who are lean from rejecting the Jewish customs. The fat ones are those who cling to the Old Testament but at the same time rejects the New Testament, the entire Gospel of Jesus Christ. The lean ones are those who are among the Jewish culture, are not fed the testimony of Jesus Christ, but realize that He is the Truth, the Way, and the Life.

Today, the fat sheep are those who live by the money, comforts, and social approval of this world while the lean sheep are those who live for the testimony of Jesus Christ. We live in a world where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is scarce. The churches are no longer a light shining with the Message of the Cross and have abandoned Gospel preaching and teaching. Government lawmakers no longer include the values of the Bible in their policies and laws. The educational system no longer allows the teaching of the Bible in the classrooms and Christianity is not welcomed in any sector of society. Jesus Christ will judge between the fat and the lean, the wheat and the chaff, “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:12

Jesus Christ wants us to be fat with the presence of the Holy Spirit in what we think, feel, do, and say. Unfortunately, there is an entity in this world that has power over physiology to influence what we think, feel, do, and say. This entity uses its power to keep our thoughts lean, feelings lean, words lean, and behaviors lean of the Spirit of Christ.  “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:7-8 The “him” in this verse is the beast of the image and mark of the beast.

For those who welcomes the presence of the entity that gives them what to think and feel, they are fat with uncanny knowledge, comforting feelings, reassuring thoughts, uncanny authority over others, extraordinary skill, amazing physical abilities etc. The image of the beast lives and speaks through them by the entity giving them what to think and feel. They are the global culture that exists in every city and nation and are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

God will judge, through Jesus Christ, between the fat and lean of this world, “And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:14-15

God admonishes earthly ministers for chasing the sheep from the churches. “Because you have pushed with side and shoulder, butted all the weak ones with your horns, and scattered them abroad,” Ezekiel 34:21

The leaders of the Jewish people definitely do push out the “weak ones” of the Jewish culture that believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah. The weak ones are pushed aside from the Jewish social network, butted head on with intellectual arguments, and they are scattered away from belonging in the Jewish culture. In the same way that the Gospel of Christ/New Testament is discarded from Jewish customs, those who believe in Jesus Christ are discarded and scattered from the Jewish family.

The leaders of the churches of today definitely push out those who lift up the name of Jesus Christ and make known His Gospel. Followers of Christ, who may happen to wander into a church nowadays, are considered “weak” next to the hierarchy of the church who are empowered by the entity that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say. Those who are empowered use their uncanny authority and physical dominance to intimidate and push out the followers of Jesus Christ from the church. Those who are empowered use their uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition to butt head-to-head the followers of Christ to prohibit knowledge in Christ Jesus. We who are of the body of Christ are being pushed, butted, and scattered from the churches.

“This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.” Titus 3:8-11

The following verses from Ezekiel 33:30-33 describes the congregation of the churches of today that are pushing out the followers of Christ,

“As for you, son of man, the children of your people are talking about you beside the walls and in the doors of the houses; and they speak to one another, everyone saying to his brother, ‘Please come and hear what the word is that comes from the Lord.’ So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. Indeed you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not do them. And when this comes to pass—surely it will come—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.” Ezekiel 33:30-33

God saves His sheep through Jesus Christ who is our judge. “…therefore I will save My flock, and they shall no longer be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.” Ezekiel 34:22

Jesus Christ came to save the Jewish people from their leaders who were turning them away from the will of God and coerced them to reject their Messiah, Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus brought Salvation to the Jewish people to protect them from falling prey to the spiritual corruption of their leaders. In fact, the Twelve Apostles were Jewish, and Paul was Jewish who is known as the Apostle to the Gentiles. However, many were not able to carry their cross to follow Jesus Christ. Jesus was indeed judging between one Jewish sheep and the other Jewish sheep. “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13

Today, Jesus Christ has saved us from the obligation to follow earthly church ministers. His sheep are not those who follow the voice of other human beings, His sheep are those who follow His voice through the word of God and through the Spirit, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-28 We are no longer prey to sin and death but by forgiveness through Jesus Christ we ae saved. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jesus Christ opened our soul to be able to enter into the presence of God and He enables us to live by the infilling of the Holy Spirit. No earthly minister can make that happen. “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom;” Mattthew 27:50-51 When Jesus yielded up His Spirit and died on the Cross, the atonement for sin was then official. The veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom to give each one of us access into the most Holy place, and all who believe in Him are made the temple of the Holy Spirit, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

God judges between sheep and sheep through His Son Jesus Christ, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2

Sing above the battle strife:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
By His death and endless life:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Sing it softly through the gloom,
When the heart for mercy craves;
Sing in triumph o’er the tomb:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
[Church Hymn]

Jesus Christ is the only minister of our soul.
Jesus Christ is the only shepherd over His sheep. “I will establish one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them—My servant David. He shall feed them and be their shepherd.” Ezekiel 34:23

God has established one shepherd over us, and He is no one among the earthly ministers of the churches of today and is no one among the Jewish leadership and is definitely not the entity that gives people what to think, feel, say, and do. The name of the one shepherd over us is Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the giver of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ feeds us as the Bread and Water of Life. He is the word of God who nourishes our spirit and soul to blossom fruitfully in the Spirit. “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:22-23

Jesus Christ tried to help the Jewish leaders to make sense of the word of God, and His teachings came with a lot of simplicity and that simplicity humiliated them. For example, when the scripture verse says that God’s servant, David, would be the one shepherd over them and feed them, somehow, the Jewish leaders believed that David was the one to keep their focus on. Jesus Christ used the scriptures to reveal that David could not possibly be the one, David could not possibly be the Christ.

That’s because David is quoted as saying that Christ is his Lord. Jesus asked the Jewish leaders, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’” The Lord said to David’s Lord (Jesus Christ) “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool” Jesus continued to ask, “If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?” This is perfect common sense that if David calls Christ his Lord, then Jesus Christ is above David, because in those days a son was never, ever referred to as being lord over his father.

“While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, The Son of David.” He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”’? If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?” Matthew 22:41-45

For all practical purposes, Jesus Christ really is in the family tree of King David from the Tribe of Judah, so in fleshly terms Jesus was the son of David. At the same time, Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, born by the Holy Spirit without human semen, as described in this verse, “The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham…and Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ…now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. ” Matthew 1:1, 16, 18

There is only one Shepherd for the Jewish people, the followers of Jesus Christ, and all the world, and He is Jesus Christ. “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.” Galatians 3:16Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.” Galatians 3:7

Jesus Christ is the Son of the God whom we serve. “And I, the Lord, will be their God, and My servant David a prince among them; I, the Lord, have spoken.” Ezekiel 34:24

The Jewish culture only lives by the Old Testament, and all of the New Testament is discarded which means Jesus Christ has been discarded from their culture. This means that the Jewish people have made David the center of their life as the prince among their culture. The government of the State of Israel would be on David’s shoulder, he would be glorified as wonderful, lifted up as the ultimate counselor, considered to be the mighty one of God, and the prince of peace. Lifting up an individual human being is to not believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, to not believe in the word of God, and to build a wall against the presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said to the Jewish people, “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil,” John 8:43-44

Also, there is the city of David, but Jesus Christ is more than just the name of a city, He is the Savior of the world, Christ the Lord, “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:11-12

Today, we know that “My servant David” is prophetic for Jesus Christ as the one sent to atone for sin and to reconcile us to God, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:12

The Holy Spirit speaks these words through the Apostle John about when we arrive to the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” Revelation 21:3

Jesus Christ is the Prince among the body of Believers. As the Prince of God, Jesus Christ has the government of God on His shoulder, which means that He brings people to God and is the giver of the Holy Spirit. He sits on the right hand of the throne of God with all power and authority given to Him. Jesus has the power and authority to forgive sin and give eternal life. His name is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, and Prince of Peace. “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Jesus Christ is the covenant that God makes with us. “I will make a covenant of peace with them, and cause wild beasts to cease from the land; and they will dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.” Ezekiel 34:25

God made a covenant of peace with the Jewish people through Jesus Christ, which would have caused every single horrific event to cease from them as a Jewish nation. Through Jesus Christ, they would have lived safely, and the Holocaust would never have happened. Through Jesus Christ, none of the conflict, fighting, and hostilities would be facing the State of Israel today. If the Jewish people had accepted Jesus Christ as their Messiah, they would be Christian, and the Jewish people would not exist as a nation. They would not have suffered the Holocaust because they would have been Christians in all parts of the world and not a Jewish culture gathered within the culture of Nazi Germany. The Jewish State of Israel would not exist today because as Christians we do not have a nation on this earth to call our own, our home is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.

You will notice that there are no Heavenly rewards spoken about for the Jewish people in the New Testament, instead, Jesus Christ warns them about the eternal punishment coming to them because they reject Him. “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:38-39

Whenever the Old Testament speaks of peace, safety, prosperity, etc. for Israel, we have to know that Christianity has inherited the blessings of Israel through Jesus Christ. “The older shall serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.” Romans 9:12-13 This refers to the Jewish people being the older child because they were here before the younger child of Christianity. The younger child ends up with the blessings of the older child.

In the New Testament, Christians are referred to as being the seed of Abraham, not the Jewish people, “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham;” Romans 9:6 -7 Romans chapter 9. “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” Romans 2:28-29

As followers of Jesus Christ, in this world, we know that there is no peace, safety, nor relief from the beasts that bring trials, afflictions, heartaches, and pain to us. As the Holy Spirit speaks through the Apostle Paul, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18 The covenant made with us is that God loves us and has sent His Son Jesus Christ that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. In that eternal life, in the New Jerusalem of the new heaven and earth, there is peace, safety, and no wild beasts at all, as quoted, “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Revelation 21:27

For a beautiful description of the New Jerusalem, read Revelation 21, Revelation 22, Ezekiel chapters 40-48.

God sends us showers of blessings through Jesus Christ. “I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.” Ezekiel 34:26

In the Paradise of God, there will be showers of blessings every second of the day, through Jesus Christ. He gives us showers of blessings through the Holy Spirit as our sin is put in remission.

There shall be showers of blessing:
  This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
  Sent from the Savior above.

    Showers of blessing,
      Showers of blessing we need;
    Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

There shall be showers of blessing;
O that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

There shall be showers of blessing,
  If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.
[Church Hymn]

Jesus Christ gives us freedom from sin and blossoms of life in the Spirit. “Then the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase. They shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them.” Ezekiel 34:27

Jesus Christ has set us free from sin, and sin is what prevents the fruit of the Spirit from blossoming within our spirit. Sin is what causes spiritual death and causes the fruit to wither. Jesus Christ fills our spirit with love, kindness, goodwill, faith, joy, goodness, peace, meekness, gentleness, self-control, patience, and perseverance. Jesus Christ breaks the hold sin has on us to deliver us from being held captive to spiritual death. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:19-26

The Spirit in us is our guarantee of inheriting a place in the New Jerusalem of the new heaven and earth, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14

The New Jerusalem is a beautiful place where the Tree of Life blossoms with fruit every month and is a land for all Believers to live safely. “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.” Revelation 22:1-5

Jesus Christ gives us peace and security in the New Jerusalem. “And they shall no longer be a prey for the nations, nor shall beasts of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and no one shall make them afraid.” Ezekiel 34:28

Today, we see how Israel has become prey for the nations (the world government of the beast) and they are being devoured by the global culture of the beast. Since the year the State of Israel was established in 1948, the Israelis have been involved in 18 wars, Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. With that, the members of the United Nations have opened a case of genocide against Israel, World Court to hear Genocide Case Against Israel. The members of the UN are also pursuing arrest warrants of Israeli officials on charges of war crimes. With all of that, the masses of the global culture are rioting and protesting against the existence of the State of Israel. It doesn’t become any better for the land of Israel as they are caught in the middle of the Battle of Armageddon of Revelation 16:12-17. That battle is the last major event on this earth before the Day of the Lord and the return of Jesus Christ.

When God says “…they shall dwell safely, and no one shall make them afraid” we have to remember that there are no such promises for the Jewish people in the New Testament. The Jewish people must come to God through Jesus Christ in order to obtain the promise of safety, peace, and eternal life in the New Jerusalem of the new heaven and earth. Jesus Christ spoke these words to the Jewish people, “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” Matthew 23:38-39

The followers of Jesus Christ will face a time of grueling affliction within the tribulation of this world, as Jesus Christ said, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.” John 15:186 The “he” in the following verse refers to the beast of the image and mark of the beast. “Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:7-8

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:11-12

God promises that whoever believes in His Son Jesus Christ will not perish but will have eternal life. God has arranged a day when Believers will no longer be a prey for the nations, nor shall beasts of the land devour us; but we will live safely, and no one shall make us afraid. In the New Jerusalem, “…God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:4-5

Jesus Christ gives us the garden of renown in the New Jerusalem. “I will raise up for them a garden of renown, and they shall no longer be consumed with hunger in the land, nor bear the shame of the Gentiles anymore.” Ezekiel 34:29

God raised Jesus Christ up from the grave as a sign of His resurrection power. That resurrection power reveals the resurrection of life that each believer will experience. We will be raised from the dead into the Garden of Renown, which is known as the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. We will never hunger again as we drink from the eternal Water of Life and eat from the fruit of the eternal Tree of Life. We will no longer bear the shame of being fallen sinners, but our sin is 100% wiped away as we are given a new and eternal body.

“Lord by your cross, you reconciled us to the Father.
We have only to believe.
Your sacrifice, our victory,
Now by your blood we are redeemed.

Lord, you gave your people manna in the desert,
Still you fulfil our every need.
Lord when we hunger, Lord, when we thirst,
We come to you and we receive.”
(Church Hymn)

Jesus Christ is our assurance that we are the people of God. “Thus they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and they, the house of Israel, are My people,” says the Lord God.’ You are My flock, the flock of My pasture; you are men, and I am your God,” says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 34:30-31

In the New Testament, there are no promises of blessings for the house of Israel. God gave the very life of His Son, Jesus Christ, an extremely high price to atone for sin, and the Jewish people are required to accept that sacrifice made for them. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a miracle of life too great for God to allow the Jewish people to ignore.

As is quoted, “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham;” Romans 9:6-7 The seed of Abraham, the Children of God, His flock, are those who hear His voice and follow Him, “Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;” John 10:25-28

The following verse is speaking about the Believers who enter into the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth, “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” Revelation 21:3

Whoever believes in Jesus Christ will inherit eternal life, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
