The spiritually corrupt are unable to inquire of God.
Corrupt elders of Israel make inquiries of God. “It came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me.” Ezekiel 20:1
The date given measures a certain stretch of time within the captivity of the Israelites to the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. The elders that came to inquire of the Lord were very far removed from the will of God. This would be like the Jewish people of today inquiring of God through the Old Testament but discarding the entire New Testament, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is like people trying to come into the presence of God while oppressing the Holy Spirit, discarding the need for the remission of sin through Jesus, and while denying God.
Jesus Christ is the only way to God, the only truth, and the only life, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 If God is to be inquired of then it will be through Jesus.
God does not allow corrupt elders to inquire of Him. “Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live,” says the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you.”’ Ezekiel 20:2-3
Why would someone inquire of the Lord who turns a deaf ear to the answers He gives? That is exactly what the Jewish people do when they make their prayers to God but close their ears to His Son Jesus Christ. This is the answer God gives to the whole world, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 When anyone rejects that message, then the response from God is, “Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live,” says the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you.”
All of our inquiries of God go through Jesus Christ who makes intercession for us, “It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Romans 8:34 “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25 If we do not acknowledge Jesus Christ (the Son) as the mediator between us and God (the Father), then His response to us is, “Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live,” says the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you.”
God asks us to make known to others the need for the remission of sin. “Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Then make known to them the abominations of their fathers.” Ezekiel 20:4
God wanted Ezekiel to judge the Israelites to make them aware that they were following in the abominations of their ancestors. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3:19 Abominations against God is to deny His existence as Creator, to discard the need of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, and to oppress the presence of the Holy Spirit. Today, we are called to share the Gospel of Christ to make known to the world the need to reconcile to God
Today, the Jewish people are following their ancestors who have turned from the will of God by rejecting Jesus Christ as their Messiah. Only through Jesus are they considered the children of God, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name…” John 1:12
Oath of God was made to bring the Jewish people into the land of milk and honey.
Oath of God made to Israel, “I am the Lord your God.” “Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On the day when I chose Israel and raised My hand in an oath to the descendants of the house of Jacob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, I raised My hand in an oath to them, saying, ‘I am the Lord your God.’” Ezekiel 20:5
The Israelites were referred to as the descendants of the house of Jacob. That’s because they were the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham to multiply his seed. The Jewish people began with Abraham and his only son Isaac. When Jacob was born through Isaac, the Israelites were those three, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob had twelve sons, and they and their wives, and children moved to Egypt as a population of about 70 people. There, they grew to a population of about 600,000, and the Egyptians decided to keep them in bondage as slave labor. That is when God made an oath to free them from Egyptian captivity.
God made an oath to the Israelites to lead them out of the bondage of the Egyptians, as quoted, “I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.” Exodus 6:6-8. God made good on His oath, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” Exodus 20:1-17
Today, the oath made to the Jewish people is the same, God will lead them out of their bondage. This is not a bondage to the earthly land of Egypt, but a bondage to this sin-plagued world. God requires them to live for Him through Jesus Christ. As Christians, we are the descendants of Jacob, “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:29 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” John 1:12
As Christ’s, we know God leads us out of the bondage of sin by living for Jesus Christ who gives us the Holy Spirit. We have that testimony in us of how living for Him makes a noticeable difference in our spirit, attitude, words, and behaviors. That is the message that God wants us to share with others. We follow the light of Jesus into the promise of life, “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12
Oath of God to bring Israel out of bondage into a land of milk and honey. “On that day I raised My hand in an oath to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands.” Ezekiel 20:6
Today, the “milk and honey” is the Holy Spirit in us who is given when we live for God through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is our guarantee of inheriting the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14
God had promised to bring the Israelites out of Egypt into the land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey (the Holy land). As followers of Jesus Christ, we know the promised land is the eternal New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth (the glory of all lands). “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-28
The promised land of Canaan is the earthly territory of the State of Israel today, as seen in the map below. The Jewish people have rejected Jesus Christ and forfeited the eternal New Jerusalem. As a result, they have the earthly promised land of Israel, as described in Ezekiel 20:8.
In the map below, the light tan area (bordering the Mediterranean Sea to the left) is the territory of Israel today. The blue/purple area in the middle of the tan territory is the West Bank today. When the Israelites entered Canaan, the West Bank was part of Israel. The tiny blue/purple area, in the southwest corner of Israel by the sea, is the Gaza Strip. That was part of Israel when the Israelites entered Canaan. The purple and green areas surrounding Israel was part of the promised land when the Israelites entered Canaan.

Oath of God came with the requirement to tun from sin and false gods. “Then I said to them, ‘Each of you, throw away the abominations which are before his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’” Ezekiel 20:7
In preparation of entering the promised land of Canaan, the Israelites were told to turn away from everything they had learned under the bondage of the Egyptians. They were not to defile themselves by serving the false gods of Egypt. As the Holy Spirit says to us today, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
As followers of Jesus Christ, we know that entering into the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem depends on turning away from sin and being set apart from the ways of this world. We flee from the sin of denying God as our Creator, we no longer discard the need of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin, and we no longer oppress the presence of the Holy Spirit. We have no desire to be defiled by the false god that gives people what to feel, think, say, and do. This false god enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people. The global culture is groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
2000 years ago, the Jewish people were told that they needed to reconcile to God through Jesus Christ. Jesus made them aware that they needed to be cleansed of sin and to be born again by the Spirit. “Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Jon 3:5-6 Unfortunately, the Israelis have defiled themselves with the false god of the global culture that gives them what to do, say, think, and say. They have the most liberal abortion rights in the world and promote the lifestyles of the LGBQT community. On top of that, the Israelis routinely riot and protest against their own government to demand conformity to the will of the United Nations.
Even in the books of Acts, Israel is grouped among the government leaders and unbelievers who called for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. “Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.” Acts 4:27
Oath of God was rebelled against stirring the fury of God. “But they rebelled against Me and would not obey Me. They did not all cast away the abominations which were before their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said, ‘I will pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.’” Ezekiel 20:8
When the Israelites were still living in their slavery to Egypt, before God led them out of their bondage to the promised land of Canaan, they refused to obey the word of God. They clinched to everything of the Egyptian culture that pleased them, but those things were intensely disliked by God. Those were things that turned the Israelites away from everything God wanted for them. They clung to the idols of Egypt, which fostered disbelief in God and oppressed His word. For their unbelief, serving Egyptian idols, and suppressing the word of God, He was furious enough to unleash His fury on them right there in Egypt. He was furious to the point that He could have left them in Egypt and not lead them out of their captivity into the promised land.
As we learn in the next verse of Ezekiel 20:9, for the sake of His Holy name God leads the Israelites out of Egypt on the journey to the discovery of the promised land.
Today, all the world, including the Jewish people, have inherited sin and we are in bondage to this sin-plagued world. God is furious with how humanity has abandoned His word, clings to the pleasant allurements of things that are destructive to the Spirit, and serves the false god of this world. He could leave us in our sin and let us self-destruct, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” John 8:24
As we know today, for the sake of His Holy name, God sent Jesus Christ to atone for sin and lead us out of our bondage into Salvation, “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8
Today, the world has abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and even the churches of America are no longer a light shining with the message of forgiveness of sin, Salvation through Jesus Christ, and eternal life. Today’s culture clings to what is pleasant to their own eyes, as if feeling good about something makes it all right. They serve the idol of this world which is the entity that gives them what to feel, what to think, what to do, and what to say. This entity enables the image of the beast to speak and live through them as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. God is furious at their rebellious behavior against Him, and could unleash His fury on them right now. But, He gives each one of us the opportunity to choose eternal life over eternal hell, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
Oath of God was made to not bring the Israelites into the land of milk and honey.
God acted for the sake of His Holy name for the population of the world to see. “But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.” Ezekiel 20:9
The Egyptians were the Gentiles whom the Israelites were among as their captive slaves. The name of God was being profaned in the sense that His people were being used as slave labor. God made Himself known to the Egyptians through the Ten Plagues beginning in Exodus 7. By showing Himself, for the sake of His Holy name, God led the Israelites out of Egypt.
2000 years ago, God acted by sending His Son Jesus Christ to His people who were being held captive to worldly ways and held bondage to sin. The Jewish people were known by the Romans as the people of God, but they were mocking the Holy name of God as they kept the Jewish culture under their dominion. The name of God was profaned by the Romans as well as the world who saw God when they saw the bondage of the Jewish people. “So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands.” John 19:1-3
There are many examples of how God showed Himself to the Gentile Romans and to the entire Gentile world. For example, Paul, whose name was Saul before his conversion, was a Roman and a Pharisee, his father being a Roman and his mother Jewish. Saul persecuted, imprisoned, put to death, and was responsible for keeping the Jewish Christians under bondage. One day, God showed Himself to Saul, and Saul said this, “And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’” Acts 26:14
Jesus Christ also made Himself known to the Gentile world outside the Roman culture, as quoted, “Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.” John 4:9
Today, Jesus Christ has come to preach the Kingdom of God to all people, including the Gentiles, who are every non-Jewish person and every person in bondage to sin, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.: John 3:16-17
Our Lord Jesus performed many signs and wonders to lead people out of the bondage of sin, “Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst…” Acts 2:22 God shows many signs and wonders through the Holy Spirit to lead people to His Salvation, “God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will…” Hebrews 2:4 As is said in this verse, of today’s post, “But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of [sin].” Ezekiel 20:9
God is going to lead the followers of Jesus Christ into the promised land of the New Jerusalem by showing Himself to this sin-plagued world. He shows Himself through the events of the Seven Plagues in Revelation 16 and the events of the Seven Trumpets in Revelation 8, 9, and 11. Global warming is already in this world and is the Fourth Plague. Global warming walks hand-in-hand with the United Nations, the more powerful the United Nations becomes as the one world government the more intense the heat of global warming becomes. The Day of the Lord is approaching, and Jesus Christ returns.
God brought the Jewish people out of Egypt and showed them His way. “Therefore, I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them.’” Ezekiel 20:10-11
While the Israelites were still in slavery to the Egyptians, they were living against the will of God. Everything that was pleasant to their eyes, they made it a part of their life, regardless of how detestable those desires were to God. They lived by the idols of the Egyptians and allowed those false gods to guide their behavior. The Israelites profaned the name of the Living God while living among the Egyptians. For the sake of God’s Holy name, He decided to lead them out of the land Egypt. They were led into the wilderness where they were given the Ten Commandments and shown the way of God. They were shown the way of life by devotion to the word of God.
There was a time when all of humanity were without the word of God and didn’t have a clue of what the will of God was. This was the Egypt of all humanity. This was before the coming of Jesus Christ, and when the Jewish people held exclusive rights to the word of God. For the most part, humanity was living according to the rules, standards, culture, false gods, and desires of this world. God sent Jesus Christ to lead us out of Egypt, out of bondage to this world, and to teach us what the ways of God are.
Since the coming of Jesus Christ, every single person, Jewish and non-Jewish, have been brought to the wilderness to find our way to the promised land. Jesus Christ is the Way and the Light of the world, “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 Jesus Christ is the word of God made flesh, and He shows us the ways of God through His word, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 Jesus says, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63
“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them…” Proverbs 4:20-21
God gave the Jewish people the Sabbaths as a sign that He is their Lord. “Moreover, I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.” Ezekiel 20:12
In this verse, we read where God gave the Israelites the Sabbaths as a sign to keep it always forefront that He is the Lord who sanctifies them Exodus 20:8-11. In the previous verse, we read where God gave the Israelites His statutes and judgments to follow, which included the Ten Commandments. This is equivalent to God giving the followers of Jesus all of the Old Testament and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With that, we were given Sundays as the day of worship to Him in the name of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. “…by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption…” 1 Corinthians 1:30
The Church was meant to sanctify our spirit by the truth of God’s word, as Jesus prayed to His Father, “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” John 17:17 Sundays were meant to be a day to remind us that the Lord sanctifies us through His Son Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the sign between us and God that He is the One who sanctifies us.
While the churches are no longer a place where the Gospel of Christ is found, our Lord Jesus reveals to us that He is more important than Sunday church, “Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple…For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.” Matthew 12:6,8. Jesus continually broke the Jewish laws by healing and doing good on Sundays, which is a large part of why the Pharisees sought to kill Him. Also, in the Old Testament, it is written that the priests profane the Sabbath, and everyone thinks it is OK, “Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?” Matthew 12:5 Click here for the full scriptural text on Jesus is more important Sunday church.
The Jewish people rebelled against the word of God and defiled the Sabbaths. “Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.” Ezekiel 20:13
God gave the Israelites His word, like the Ten Commandments, and also the Sabbaths to make them aware that God sanctifies them. But the Jewish people rebelled against God when they rejected Jesus Christ and oppressed the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Sabbaths are not being used to preach and teach that the sanctification of the spirit and soul comes by believing in Jesus Christ, “…will have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 10:10 The Jewish culture has tossed aside the entire Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the New Testament. They only live by the Old Testament. The Sabbaths have been greatly defiled and God could have unleashed His fury on them 2000 years ago to rid them of this earth.
“The Lord is not slack about His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
Today, churches and the Gospel of Jesus Christ exist everywhere and there is no one in the wilderness of this world who hasn’t heard of church and Jesus Christ. But the churches of today have rebelled against God by abandoning the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this wilderness world, there is no longer a light shining on the path that leads to God by the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ. No one is learning about being set apart from this world as a process of Holiness in the sanctification of spirit and soul. God is furious enough to unleash His fury on humanity right here and now, but by His patience, He does want anybody to perish but to come to repentance,
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17
Today, the entity that gives people what to think, feel, do, and say is the leading the rebellion against Jesus Christ. This entity replaces the human conscience and spirit to prevent people from learning about sanctification. By doing that, this entity enables the image of the beast to speak and live through people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
God leads us out of sin but those who do not follow are not led into the eternal New Jerusalem. “But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles, in whose sight I had brought them out. So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols. Nevertheless, My eye spared them from destruction. I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.” Ezekiel 20:14-17
While in Egypt, the Israelites profaned the name of God by living for the idols of Egypt and every pleasant carnal desire while not being sensitive to the ways of God. For that reason, God brought them out of the corrupt influence of Egypt, by the Ten Plagues, for all the Egyptians to see His power over them. While in the wilderness, God gave them the Ten Commandments, and other laws, along with the Sabbaths so they could learn how to live for Him. But they ignored His word and His Sabbaths so God said that they would not be brought into the promised land, “flowing with milk and honey”. The Israelites continued to want to serve a false god, instead of the Living God, as described in Exodus 32 when the golden Calf was built. While the majority of Israelites did not cross over into the promised land, a few did, God did not completely annihilate them in the wilderness.
“Remember Your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not look on the stubbornness of this people, or on their wickedness or their sin, lest the land from which You brought us should say, “Because the Lord was not able to bring them to the land which He promised them, and because He hated them, He has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.” Yet they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out by Your mighty power and by Your outstretched arm.’” Deuteronomy 9:27-29
Only because God spared a few of the Israelites, Jesus Christ was born thousands of years later, from the Jewish Tribe of Israel, by the Spirit of God.
Before Jesus Christ, all of humanity was in “Egypt” living by the ways, desires, and will of this world. Today, the majority of the world lives by the idol that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say. Even before that, God knew how corrupt “Egypt” was, so He led all of humanity out from being held bondage there and led the world into the wilderness. Here in the wilderness today, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to atone for sin, to give us the Holy Bible, and to establish the Church. In the Church and through His word, we are to learn how to live for Him and be set apart from this world. But everyone has abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have defiled the Church. While the majority of this world will not enter into the promised land of the eternal New Jerusalem, the faithful few who hold to the testimony of Christ Jesus will.
“The Lord is not slack about His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance…For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” 2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16
A piece of the “land flowing with milk and honey” lives within us through the Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our eternal inheritance in the promised land of the New Jerusalem, as quoted, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14
Encouragement to live by the word of God is rebelled against.
As children of God through Jesus Christ we don’t follow the Jewish culture. “But I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols. I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’” Ezekiel 20:18-20
Most of the Israelites who were brought out of Egypt refused to let go of the Egyptian ways, rejected the word of the Living God, and defiled the Sabbaths. God spoke to their children not to live by their parent’s false teachings, not to judge according to their parent’s false sense of justice, and not to live by their parent’s idols. God made known to the children that He is their God. As His children, they were to live by His word and keep the Ten Commandments that He gave to them and keep the Sabbaths Holy. Then they would always know that He is their God.
Today, the Jewish culture has the heritage of their ancestors who were brought out of Egypt, the same who rebelled against God and defiled the Sabbaths. God speaks to the Jewish culture of today, the children of rebellious ancestors. He says to them not to live by their ancestor’s false teaching, which is the teaching of the Old Testament without the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as quoted, “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.” Luke 16:16 The Jewish people of today are to keep the judgments given through Jesus Christ and not to follow the judgments without Jessus Christ. The Jewish people are to keep the Sabbaths dedicated to God through Jesus Christ who gives the Holy Spirit. By living according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and keeping the Sabbaths dedicated to Him, then they would always know that the Lord is their God.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are born into the family of God through the Jewish culture, as our Lord Jesus was an Israelite from the Tribe of Judah. “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed... And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Romans 9:6-8, Galatians 3:29
As the adopted children of God, He speaks to us not to be like the Jewish people who rejected Jesus Christ. We are not to live by only the Old Testament alone, not to judge according to the Jewish customs, not to exclude Christ Jesus from the churches, and not to hold up the Jewish culture as an idol above Jesus Christ. Because we live for Jesus, the Lord is our God. We are to walk in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to judge according to the entire word of God with Jesus, and to keep Sundays a day of Holiness to the Lord. When Sunday Church embraces the testimony of Jesus Christ, then that is a place that will always make us know that God is our Lord through Jesus Christ.
I believe in Jesus
He is the Son of God
He died and rose to save my soul
I confess that He is Lord
(Church Song)
Sabbaths and Sundays have been defiled. “Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; but they profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the wilderness. Nevertheless, I withdrew My hand and acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the Gentiles, in whose sight I had brought them out.” Ezekiel 20:21-22
The children of the Israelites are the Jewish people of today. When the Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, the word of God was not kept and they forfeited eternal life. As a result of ignoring the word of God, every bit of teaching and preaching on the Sabbaths are profaned. Because the Gospel of Christ was ignored the Sabbaths are defiled. As Jesus Christ said, “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.” Luke 16:16 Today, the Jewish culture has tossed out the entire New Testament, which is the Gospel of Christ, and they only live by the Old Testament. Again, it is written, “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things…” Hebrews 1:1-2
In the Holiness of God, His fury was hot against the Israelites, but He withheld from totally annihilating all of them. God had a plan to send His Son Jesus Christ, who is an Israelite from the Tribe of Judah, and thousands of years later He arrived, with His word of promise, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Today, the word of God, brought through Jesus Christ, is being rebelled against. Sunday church is profaned as the churches have abandoned the Gospel of Christ. They reject the message of the promise of life given by the forgiveness of sin when we believe in Jesus Christ. Instead, they encourage living for the entity that gives them what to think, feel, say, and do. Instead of eternal life, they inherit eternal death in hell, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
The Holiness of God destroys sin, that is why He could very easily destroy sin-plagued humanity. Instead, He decided not to destroy the world, but to give every human being the opportunity to come to Him through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only sinless person who can come into the presence of God, and through Jesus Christ our sin is forgiven, and we are reconciled to God, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” Romans 5:8-9
The Jewish people are scattered and dispersed across the globe.
Jewish people scattered among the Gentiles and dispersed across the globe. “Also, I raised My hand in an oath to those in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the Gentiles and disperse them throughout the countries, because they had not executed My judgments, but had despised My statutes, profaned My Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on their fathers’ idols.” Ezekiel 20:23-24
In the wilderness, God swore that He would scatter the Israelites throughout the countries instead of completely annihilating them. The Jewish people were scattered and dispersed across the globe, far from the land of Israel beginning in 70AD. That is the year that the Roman general, Titus, completely destroyed Jerusalem and demolished the temple. For 1848 years, until 1948, the Jewish people migrated to places around the world, including places across the ocean, like the United States of America.
The worldwide scattering of the Jewish people happened just 37 years after the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. God scattered them because they rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah, continued to defile the Sabbaths with their corrupt teaching of the scriptures, and exalting their Jewish culture as an idol above Jesus Christ. The regathering of the Jewish people to the land of Israel in 1948 is described in Ezekiel 22:19-20 and also Ezekiel 36:20.
In the map below, we see how far and wide the dispersion of the Jewish people went across the globe. That map shows where the Jewish people are today, with the larger half being in the State of Israel and the smaller half being in the United States. The halves are not a perfect 50-50 split because there are Jewish people in many other countries, just not near as many as what is in Israel and America. They are indeed scattered and dispersed among the non-Jewish population (Gentiles).

The Jewish people are given up to living by errant doctrines and are pronounced unclean. “Therefore, I also gave them up to statutes that were not good, and judgments by which they could not live; and I pronounced them unclean because of their ritual gifts, in that they caused all their firstborn to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate and that they might know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 20:25-26
When the Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, they were given to living by the Old Testament laws and judgments, which no one can live by. Just trying to read through the laws of the book of Leviticus will attest to that. In fact, the word of God teaches us that trying to live by the letter of the law kills but the Spirit gives life, “…the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6 “But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.” Romans 7:6 The whole chapter of Romans 7 explains how the statutes of the law were not good. “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.” Luke 16:16
God has pronounced the Jewish culture unclean because of their “ritual gifts.” Those ritual gifts refer to living by set routines, laws, and procedures instead of living freely in the Holy Spirit. They have thrown out the entire New Testament, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that teaches, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2 The Jewish culture is unclean because they are causing their children to pass through the eternal fire of hell by teaching them to reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah.
Also, God has made the whole world to see how the Israelis of the State of Israel are unclean. To the global culture, the Israelis are unclean because of their constant wars, which they have been in 18 wars since the year the State of Israel was established in 1948, Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. The Israeli citizens are unclean in the eyes of the followers of Jesus Christ because they have the most liberal abortion rights in the world. Through their abortion rights, they are causing their children to pass through the fire. The Israelites of the Old Testament were literally burning their children in the fire as a sacrifice to the false gods of other nations. Today, the killing of the unborn is a sacrificial ritual of the global culture made to the world government within the “sustainability goals”, designed to sustain population growth through habitual practice of abortions.
Israel, along with the world government and its global culture, will be desolated in the coming days because of their rebellion against the will of God. The will of God for all people is to come to Him through Jesus Christ and to embrace the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord is going to totally desolate this present world on the Day of the Lord. Already, global warming is in the world, and this is the Fourth Plague as described in Revelation 16:8-9. Global warming is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast in the Fifth Plague as described in Revelation 16:10-11. This causes the destruction of the entity that governs through the thoughts, feeling, words, and behaviors of people. This will render the world government and its global culture powerless. In that powerlessness, arises the Battle of Armageddon in the Sixth Plague of Revelation 16:12-17. After that, our Lord Jesus returns.
Due to the rejection of Jesus Christ, by the majority of the population of the world, humanity has been given up to an entity that brings death and by which no person can live. This is the entity that gives people what to think, feel, do, and say, bringing death to belief in God, death to belief in Jesus Christ, and death to embracing the presence of the Holy Spirit. This entity enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world as the global culture is groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. Christian births are being exterminated under today’s world system, Click for a post on the extinction of Christian births.
There is a better way through Jesus Christ who gives life in the Spirit, as Jesus says, “…unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 Jesus Christ came to free us from the ways and worldly systems that kill the spirit, “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son…” Romans 8:3
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Romans 8:2-4
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
