My Life is in Lost and Found

Matthew 10:39

I’m happy with the way my life is today, considering what the alternative choice is. To look at my life there isn’t anything to qualify as living. I have no social network, I’m not respected by anyone that I run across, and I have no identity as a citizen in the city where I live. I am born and raised in the very state where I live. I have a place to live and food to eat, thanks to SNAP and housing assistance. Health care is far from being adequate. I feel like a fully functional person in a hospice unit, just waiting for the final day to come. What’s the other choice? The other choice is to live by the mark of the beast. That is to abandon any sense of human decency, forget about the Word of God, and to oppose the Spirit of Christ wherever I see it. It is that system of human robots that drove me to choose Jesus Christ in the first place. It’s extraordinary that I feel like I have more satisfaction in life now than if I lived by the mark. I really have lost my life, but I will find it waiting for me in the New Jerusalem with Jesus,

“Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39

“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.” Psalm 24:3-4
