Since Israel was put on the map in 1948, it has been attacked.
The State of Israel was put on the map in 1948. “You also, son of man, take a clay tablet and lay it before you, and portray on it a city, Jerusalem.” Ezekiel 4:1
Ezekiel makes a map of Jerusalem on a clay tablet, which is easily broken and swept away. This brings to mind how the Lord God put the State of Israel on the map in 1948, when it was recognized as a nation. Even so, we have to realize that the people of Israel habitually profane the name of God by rejecting Jesus Christ as their Messiah, Lord, and Savior. Putting Israel on the map was not for the sake of Israel, but for the sake of God’s Holy name. The State of Israel was put on the clay map as the place where God carries out His judgment against her, “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went.” Ezekiel 36:22
The borders of the State of Israel are being besieged. “Lay siege against it, build a siege wall against it, and heap up a mound against it; set camps against it also, and place battering rams against it all around.” Ezekiel 4:2
God is using the countries of the global government of the beast to lay siege on the State of Israel. This has been shared in the prophecy of the Bible so that those in this world can see that God’s word is true and He is Holy.
A “siege wall” is something built to enable one country to breach the walls of another. To breach the walls of the State of Israel is to remove the borders which makes Israel an independent state in the Middle East. Today, we see how the borders of Israel have been breached. The West Bank has been practically declared Palestinian territory with the State of Israel not settled into that declaration.
The border of Jerusalem itself is now divided into two territories; West Jerusalem is considered Israeli territory, but East Jerusalem is practically considered Palestinian territory inside the West Bank. There is even talk of making East Jerusalem the capital of the Palestinian people in a “two-state solution.” The “two-state solution” means to divide that Middle East region between the Israelis and Palestinians as two separate states. A day is soon coming when the Palestinian State will be declared in a manner similar to the declaration of the State of Israel in 1948.
There are mounds of opposition to the borders of the State of Israel, camps are set against Israel, and battering rams surround Israel. The battering rams against the borders of the State of Israel are coming from the Gaza Strip, from inside the West Bank, from Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and others. The latest siege against the walls of Israel is when the terrorist organization Hamas attacked on October 7, 2023. To this date of February 14, 2024, the war continues. Since Israel was put on the world map in 1948, there has been 18 Israeli wars. There was even a war in 1948. Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. We see the hand of god’s wrath coming against Israel.
Most notably, the United Nations (government of the beast) wants the siege against the borders of the State of Israel to prevail. Their plan is to progress into the one world government, but the independence of Israel stands in the way. All around the world, the global culture is laying a siege against the State of Israel by their support of any actions that tears down Israel. The masses around the world live by the entity that gives them what to feel, say, do, and think. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through everyone across the globe. By what they say and do they lay siege against the State of Israel. People around the world conform to the global culture of the world government as they are groomed by the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
An iron wall exists between God and the State of Israel. “Moreover take for yourself an iron plate, and set it as an iron wall between you and the city. Set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This will be a sign to the house of Israel.” Ezekiel 4:3
The “iron wall” set between God and Israel is their rejection of Jesus Christ, their Messiah. To be reconciled to God they must receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and receive the Holy Spirit. If the Jewish people were Christian, the State of Israel would not exist because we do not have a nation to call our own on this earth. We live for the nation of the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. By living as Christians, the Jewish people would have been spared all of the wrath coming against the State of Israel.
The Israelis are very stubborn, with a head as hard as flint against the will of God. That is why we are seeing the turmoil of Israel in this world today. The way the State of Israel is being besieged, exactly as Bible prophecy reveals, is a sign to the house of Israel.
There is a time of bearing the iniquities of Israel and Judah.
Bearing the iniquity of rebellious Israel and the born-again Christians. “Lie also on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it. According to the number of the days that you lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity. For I have laid on you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. And when you have completed them, lie again on your right side; then you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days. I have laid on you a day for each year.” Ezekiel 4:4-6
The iniquity of the house of Israel is set to last for a specific amount of time and then the iniquity of Judah comes for a specific amount of time. Why is the iniquity of the house of Israel suffered for “390 years” and the iniquity of the house of Judah suffered for “40 years”? Because the house of Israel is the Jewish people, and the house of Judah represents the followers of Jesus Christ. The house of Judah, Christianity, is much younger than the Jewish people. “The older shall serve the younger.” Romans 9:12
Jesus Christ is from the Tribe of Judah, so all who reconcile to God through Jesus Christ are of the house of Judah. Since our Lord Jesus shed His blood and died on the Cross to atone for sin, He bears our sin. He has been bearing the sin of born-again Christians for “40 years”. God has been suffering the iniquity of the rebellion of the house of Israel for a very long time, “390 years”.
Prophecy is focused on the rebellion and judgment of Jerusalem. “Therefore you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem; your arm shall be uncovered, and you shall prophesy against it.” Ezekiel 4:7
Today, Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and corresponds to the government of the State of Israel. The prophecy of the siege against Israel is happening in plain daylight for all the world to see. The arm of God is uncovered in bringing the wrath of His judgment to the State of Israel. The Israelis have been in 18 wars since its existence in 1948, and there was even a war in 1948. Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. Jerusalem is in shambles in its divided condition between West and East Jerusalem. Part of it is within Israel and part of it is in the West Bank. Jerusalem is hardly the Holy place it was when King Solomon, the son of King David, built the Temple Mount. The Temple Mount isn’t even under the control of Israel anymore. It is situated in East Jerusalem, under the control of the Muslim/Islam Palestinians, and is called the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Jewish people are supposed to be Chrisitan, but they refused to humble themselves to receive Jesus Christ as their Messiah, Lord, and Savior. Because they exalted the Jewish culture over Jesus, God gathered them to their own nation, the State of Israel. That is where the wrath of God’s judgment is unleashed on them. If they were Christians, they would not be Jewish, and the State of Israel would not exist. Christians have no nation to call their own on this earth. Through Jesus Christ, we will inherit the nation of the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.
Jerusalem also symbolizes the capital of our soul and spirit where God is supposed to sit within us through Jesus Christ. We are warned many times of the destruction of the temple of God and the day is here when Jesus Christ is walking out of the temple. When He walks out, destruction comes to the soul through sin and death. “Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple…assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Matthew 24:1-2 Today, Jesus Christ is not found in the churches as they no longer lift up His Gospel.
We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 The temple of God is being besieged by the one, “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”. This entity sits in the capital of the soul (Jerusalem), which is the temple of God, by giving people their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. It enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
A day is coming when the Holy Spirit is taken from this world which leaves the capital of the soul to the destruction of sin and death. The Holy Spirit is who restrains lawlessness, and when He is removed, lawlessness abounds, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8
The judgment against Jerusalem is not subject to change. “And surely I will restrain you so that you cannot turn from one side to another till you have ended the days of your siege.” Ezekiel 4:8
The State of Israel is a place where the Jewish people are being restrained. They cannot turn from one side to another. They cannot turn to the east because the West Bank, Syria, and Iran are in that direction. They cannot turn to the west because the Gaza Strip is there. They cannot turn to the north because Lebanon is there. They cannot turn to the south because Egypt is there. They will be in that “crock pot” until the days of their siege is over. It began with the first Israeli war in 1948, the year of the birth of the State of Israel, and there is no end in sight of the days of their siege.
The days of the siege against Jerusalem, the government of the State of Israel, cannot be turned back. The government of the beast is already in place, and it bulldozes forward in establishing the one world government through the United Nations. The State of Israel is under siege to remove its independence to force conformity to the goals of the global government. At the same time, the action of the world government against Israel is the judgment of God. As can be seen, the enemy of Israel is the enemy of God, which brings God’s judgment onto the anti-Christian global culture.
The entity that gives people what to feel, think, say, and do is besieging the temple of God, our body as the home of the Holy Spirit. There is nothing that can humanly be done to turn it away from living within the physiology of the masses of people in this world. People cannot turn one way to another to escape its grasp. The beginning of the end of its days of siege starts with global warming as the Fourth Plague. Global warming is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast as the Fifth Plague. That renders the world government of the beast powerless. In its loss of power, the Battle of Armageddon begins as the Sixth Plague.
The global tribulation brings a scarcity of commodities and of the Bread and Water of Life.
We are to prepare and feed on the Bread of Life. “Also take for yourself wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt; put them into one vessel, and make bread of them for yourself. During the number of days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days, you shall eat it.” Ezekiel 4:9
The “…three hundred and ninety days…” refers to the number of days of the iniquity of the house of Israel. Ezekiel was to live on the staples necessary to keep him alive, as listed in the verse above. Those staples would be used to make bread, and bread represents the word of God. Ezekiel was living in the will of God among the Israelites who were not.
Today, the Jewish people are not living in the will of God and are within the “...three hundred and ninety days…” of their iniquity. They have thrown aside the entire Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The few Jewish people living within the will of God, among the devout Jewish stalwarts, have to make their own bread to live on. That means to live on the bare essentials of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even in the books of the Old Testament, there are enough basic ingredients to feed on the Bread of Life, the gospel of Christ. In other words, a Christian Jewish person could sit and listen to the words of the Old Testament teachings and make for themselves the Bread of Life through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit reveals to us the “scarlet cord” in the Old Testament that points to Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
Today, the vessel we put bread into is our spirit and soul as the home of the Holy Spirit. The bread is the Bread of Life, who is Jesus Christ, and we feed on the bread of His Gospel. The staples of the food of the spirit and soul is to know that God loves us and has sent Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sin. In today’s world, we do not have a spiritual smorgasbord to feed on, so we feed on this, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Today, Christianity is being battered on every side. Although the Israelis do not have Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, as sustenance for their soul, we do. We need to put ourselves in survival mode within these very difficult times of this spiritually wicked world. We need to learn to be satisfied living on the bare spiritual necessities of the Bread of Life. The global culture is living by the entity giving them what to feel, think, say, and do and they have no intention of leaving a spiritual smorgasbord for Christians to feed on. The churches are no longer a storehouse for the Gospel of Christ, government lawmakers do not include the values of the Bible in their policies, the educational system does not allow the teachings of the Bible in the classrooms, and no sector of society welcomes Christianity.
Bread and Water of Life is consumed in rations. “And your food which you eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day; from time to time you shall eat it. You shall also drink water by measure, one-sixth of a hin; from time to time you shall drink.” Ezekiel 4:10-11
Bread and water spiritually refer to the nourishment of our spirit and soul. The Bible is our daily bread, and the water saturates our soul as we read the word of God. Today, the Jewish people are living on tight rations of the word of God. They discard the Gospel of Christ and the entire New Testament.
Ezekiel lived in the will of God and did not follow the practices of the Israelites who turned from God. God instructed him to eat the bread he made and to drink water in rations. Today, as people living in the will of God by receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we eat our bread and drink water in rations. This is to feed on the word of God, and to have our soul saturated with it, in a world where the gospel of Christ is scarce. Today, the churches no longer shine with the message of the Cross, making the Bread and Water of Life scarce. This scarcity will become worse as the days progress. Today, and in the future, we are to savor the word of God according to the little we have to keep our spirit and soul saturated.
If there is only one verse in the Bible to live on, this would be the one, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The scarcity of the word of God and the Holy Spirit come by the entity that gives people what to feel, think, say, and do. This entity hardens the human spirit and conscience against Jesus Christ to enliven the image of the beast to live and speak through people. The spirit and soul are being deprived of spiritual nutrition. The masses of people conform to the anti-Christian culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
The world government and its global culture will be facing a major economic problem resulting in food and water shortages. The Jewish people and Christians will suffer in these times of food shortages. “So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” Revelation 6:5-6 The collapse of the global economy is written about in Revelation 18. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are aware of the dire scarcity of food and water to come. We know the need of starting to think in terms of eating and drinking from time to time. This means not eating three meals a day and going a day or two with nothing to eat.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And who among you, by being anxious, is able to add one hour to his life span?” Matthew 6:24-27
Israel’s defilement is for all the world to see. “And you shall eat it as barley cakes; and bake it using fuel of human waste in their sight. Then the Lord said, “So shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, where I will drive them” Ezekiel 4:12-13
A common practice in Ezekiel’s time was to use human feces as fuel for cooking, like charcoal in a barbecue. However, this was forbidden by Jewish law and considered unclean. Yet, the Lord God told Ezekiel to bake his bread with human feces. This was a symbolic act for the house of Israel to witness. It meant that the Israelites would eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles.
Today, the Jewish people are eating defiled bread among the Gentiles. Before the coming of Jesus Christ, the Jewish people called every non-Jew a “defiled Gentile” who were barred from entering into a relationship with God. When the Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ, they were driven to live among the Gentiles in the sense that they are now barred from entering into the presence of God. They live by the Old Testament and have eliminated the “scarlet cord” that points to Jesus Christ as their Messiah. They are eating their defiled bread as unbelieving Gentiles.
The righteousness of the carnal nature is based on the written law not the Spirit. “So I said, “Ah, Lord God! Indeed I have never defiled myself from my youth till now; I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has abominable flesh ever come into my mouth.” Ezekiel 4:14
Ezekiel was judging his righteousness based on the Old Testament laws. However, God wanted Ezekiel’s righteousness to be by obedience to His word and not by keeping the letter of the law. Ezekiel’s righteousness was to exceed those of the Israelites around him. As Jesus teaches us today, “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20 “...who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6
The Apostle Peter had a similar conversation with our Lord, “But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” Acts 10:14
The carnal nature of the human beast has its own sense of righteousness which is not rooted in the Spirit. This carnal sense of righteousness is what makes people put their own version of right and wrong above the righteousness of God. A carnal sense of righteousness leads people to be condemning and judgmental of others. It is what leads to conflict and violence as people form their own justice as they live by the law, “an eye for an eye”. “And all our righteousness is like filthy rags;” Isaiah 64:6
The Lord directs us to live by the righteousness of the Spirit not restricted by the written law. “Then He said to me, “See, I am giving you cow dung instead of human waste, and you shall prepare your bread over it.” Ezekiel 4:15
The Lord allowed Ezekiel to use cow feces instead of human to bake his bread. The cow feces was used like we use charcoal today. The act of Ezekiel baking his bread with cow dung was to show the Israelites how they had defiled the word of God. This was considered unclean by the laws of the Israelites, but using cow dung was more tolerable than using human dung. Ezekiel was reluctant to do this, but God encouraged him to do so. This is similar to the Lord saying to the Apostle Peter that it is OK to eat what was once considered unclean according to the written law. “And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” Act 10:15
As followers of Jesus Christ, we prepare our spiritual bread not by chapter and verse of the Holy Bible but by the Spirit of the Gospel. “...who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6 As the Holy Spirit spoke through the Apostle Paul, “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” 1 Corinthians 6:12 We are the home of the Holy Spirit, not the home of an encyclopedia of laws, rules, regulations, policies, chapters, verses, quotes, cliches, etc. “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19
The entity that gives people what to think, feel, do, and say intends to kill the human spirit to build a wall against Jesus Christ. The purpose of this entity is to enliven the image of the beast to live and speak through people. It wants to tie up our spirit so that we cannot walk in the Spirit of Christ, ”And you, O son of man, surely they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them.” Ezekiel 3:25 They want to destroy the spirit by accusing us of sin, “And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan!…Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Zachariah 3:2
Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:34-36 Sin is to turn away from God, reject Jesus Christ, and oppress the Holy Spirit.
Israel and this world wastes away without the Holy Spirit.
Bread and Water of Life is being cut off from us as the home of the Holy Spirit. “Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, surely I will cut off the supply of bread in Jerusalem; they shall eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and shall drink water by measure and with dread…” Ezekiel 4:16
Today, the supply of bread is being cut off from the Jewish people. The bread is the word of God and Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life. The Gospel of Christ has been cut off from the Jewish population as they choose the Old Testament without the Gospel of Christ.
Within the State of Israel, the Jewish people are feeding on their Torah with anxiety and dread. They never know when violence will erupt. Israel has been involved in 18 wars since the State of Israel was established in 1948, including in the year 1948. See the chart below for a list of those wars. If not already, a day will come when there will be a shortage of bread and water in Israel. Will the news media sympathize with the State of Israel enough to report on their food and water supply being cut-off?

Jerusalem is also symbolic of being the capital of the soul where the Spirit of God lives. That is the place where we feed on the word of God, the Gospel of Christ, and embrace the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is the place of the temple of God, and we are created to be the temple of the Holy Spirit, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16
Today, there is an entity that occupies the capital of the soul as if it is God, “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”. This entity despises God, rejects the need for Jesus Christ, and oppresses the Holy Spirit. This one intends to cut off the supply of the Bread of Life entering into the temple of God. With the scarcity of the Spirit of Christ, this entity wants to fill the followers of Jesus with anxiety and dread for living the life of Holiness.
The entity giving people what to think, feel, do, and say supplants the human conscience and causes the traits of psychopathy to flourish in every city around the world. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through the masses of the global culture. By what they say and do, they intend to incite anxiety and dread in those who live for God through Jesus Christ. They exalt their will over the will of Christians and over the will of God Himself. They feel no remorse, guilt, regret, or shame in their hostility toward those who acknowledge the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. They see the Holy Spirit as someone to oppress, exploit, manipulate, and kill.
Without the Holy Spirit within the soul and spirit this world wastes away. “…that they may lack bread and water, and be dismayed with one another, and waste away because of their iniquity.” Ezekiel 4:17
We see the Jewish people lacking bread and water for the spirit and soul. They have tossed out the entire New Testament and reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah, Lord, and Savior. If not already in 2024, the State of Israel will suffer a lack of food and water for the body.
To be dismayed with one another also means to be appalled with one another, which would lead to social conflict and violence. We know a large part of the Israelis engage in protests and riots for their government to conform to the goals of the United Nations. At the same time, not everyone is in agreement with the entity of the global culture that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say. Neighbors are dismayed with each other. With that, there is the strife within the West Bank and Jerusalem is divided between West and East Jerusalem. They are dismayed with one another. Then there is the conflict with those of the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, etc. They are dismayed with one another.
The State of Israel is wasting away because of their iniquity. The Jewish people chose to exalt their own culture above of the will of God for them to humbly receive Jesus Christ. Because of that, God gathered them to Israel to unleash His judgment on them. The Israelis have been in 18 wars since they were established in 1948. There was even a war in 1948. Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. If they would have accepted Jesus Christ, they would be Christian and not Jewish. Christians do not have a nation to call our own on this earth. Our nation is in the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
The global culture has tossed out the need for Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, which is the Bread and Water of Life. The Holy Spirit restrains lawlessness and anti-social behavior. Without His presence, people everywhere will be appalled by each other’s actions and global tribulation will flourish. The world government of the beast and its culture is wasting away. “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 Click here for a post on the “lawless one”.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
