I walked into work one day and the computer maintenance guy was there, which is contracted in from a local computer shop. He was familiar with me and saw the Cross pendent I wore on my shirt. He also knew that I would reply to someone’s greeting with a “God is good” or a “Jesus is Lord” remark. When he asked me how I was doing I said something like, “Fine, God is good.” He replied back, “To each their own.” So, I asked him, “If it is to each their own then why aren’t I having a boat load of fun.” Really, we both thought that was somewhat amusing and he seemed to be thinking, “Isn’t that the truth.” Him and I both know that it isn’t “to each their own.” Either a person lives life through God’s love and the Spirit of Christ, or they are flirting with or completely in compliance with the mark of the beast. There isn’t any independence left in this world.
Joshua would have been a better spokesman for God than me. He came right out and said,
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you,
then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,
whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates,
or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
I choose Jesus, “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
