Abomination of Desolation

Abomination of Desolation sitting in the Holy place.
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.” Matthew 24:15-18

Daniel 11:31 is the verse that refers to the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy place. The Holy place resides within our body, and we access it through the atonement that Jesus Christ offered for our sins on the Cross, “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us,” Hebrews 10:19-20 “Or do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16

An abomination is something that is hated, and to desolate it is to make it barren. There is an entity in this world that hates our body as the Holy place of God and desolates it by giving people what to think, feel, do and say. This entity is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”. This is the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy place of the body by giving people their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors.

As the Holy place is occupied by an entity that hates God and Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit (who restrains lawlessness) is taken out of the way as lawlessness and anti-social behavior flourishes. “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed,” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 Click here for a post on the “lawless one”. In this world where lawlessness and anti-social behavior prevails, we are to stay as far away from the global culture as possible. We are to forget about possessions and money and cling to the testimony of Jesus Christ.

In the present day, those who call themselves “Preppers” are escaping to the “mountains” and abandoning their excessive ownership of belongings and luxuries. They have withdrawn from the conventional society and living in as much isolation as possible. Around the world there are twenty million “Preppers.” Preppers are those who see that the end times are here and are preparing accordingly. In the US, there is an estimate of at least five million preppers.

We are in times when the masses of the global culture live by the entity that gives them their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. They are like roaring lions seeking for someone to devour as they have an intense hatred for God and Jesus Christ as they work to desolate the presence of the Holy Spirit. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to flee from them and give up the desire for belongings, money, and ambition. People everywhere conform to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb…” Revelation 13:8

Affliction of nursing mothers. “And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! Matthew 24:19

“In those days” refer to when the qualities of the Holy Spirt are going to be hated and desolated, even if the Holy place is alive within the spirit of mothers who are pregnant and nursing their birthed babies. Even today, we see how the killing of the unborn is done without remorse, shame, regret, or guilt and no sense of empathy required for the mother. In fact, they smooth over what they are doing by calling it “Health Care”, or “Reproductive Rights”, or “reproductive Freedom” etc. These days are horrid for Christian mothers and the unheard voice of the unborn and nursing babies.

Even from within the womb of the mother, babies are possessed by the entity that has power over their physiology to form their behaviors, feelings, minds, and sounds. This atheistic entity causes the image of the beast to live and speak through the very youngest of babies, newborns, and young children. Through the babes, the soul and spirit of the mother is oppressed, stressed, exhausted, and desolated by the entity that hates God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The global culture is being built on those nursing babies as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by the entity giving them their behaviors.

“For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’” Luke 23:29

Hardship of fleeing the global culture in the winter or on the Sabbath. “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day” Matthew 24: 20

We should pray that our flight is not in the winter. We are living in very cold days spiritually where the goodness of the Holy Spirit is hated and considered a target to desolate. It is not hard to imagine the horrors of trying to escape from the mainstream global culture during the winter months. In the cold weather, we would have no one to provide us with warm clothing, coats, boots, shelter, food, or any other source of heat. The infants who would need nursing, their mothers, and the expectant women would all perish from the frost. Even in the warm states and countries, it will be so spiritually cold that mothers, their babies, and everyone else who lives for God through Jesus Christ would be left out in the streets to rot.

We should also pray that our flight is not on the Sabbath. Sundays are meant to be the Lord’s Day to worship and share our devotion to God the Creator, Jesus Christ who atones for our sin, and for embracing the Holy Spirit. It’ not hard to envision the day of Holiness to the Lord becoming the day of the beast. Already, the churches nowadays have abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ and worship the entity that gives them their thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds. Instead of the Lord’s Day being a day to gather in the name of Jesus, it will become a day dedicated to the persecution of those who live for Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit.

Where I live, Sundays have become the day of the beast and no longer the Lord’s Day. Grocery shopping on Sundays is proof positive of that. The shoppers don’t even look like they are shopping but look more like they are loitering with their carts while watching everybody else. They seem ready to pounce at any moment. They stand in people’s way to make it difficult to move around and make access to the desired product difficult. Those Sunday soldiers impede basic human decency and make a mockery of everything that Jesus Christ stands for. Every single Sunday they flood the store, and they are very much different than the weekday customers. I can see where this will progress into an outright day of aggression against those who refuse to live for the global culture through the entity giving people what to think, feel, do, and say. Instead of the Lord’s Day it will be a day of tribulation. Trying to escape the global culture on a sabbath would be flat-out torment.

What is true for grocery shopping is also true for shopping in malls or eating in restaurants on a Sunday.

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” Matthew 24:21-22

The Bible shows us instances where God shortened the days for the sake of His faithful people. These were times of great tribulation on the earth, with all kinds of spiritual wickedness and corruption. For example, the days of the inhabitants of the earth were shortened when God sent the flood to destroy the violence and spiritual wickedness. This was done to protect Noah, his wife, and his sons and their wives. Where would they be except those days were shortened? The spiritual corruption of Sodom and Gomorrah was so severe that the days were shortened by being destroyed with fire and brimstone. That was done to protect Lot and his daughters. Where would they be except those days were shortened?

Today, the global culture serves the entity giving them what to think, feel, do, and say as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them. People in every city around the world conform to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. The days of this world’s anti-Christian system will be cut short for the sake of those who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ. Where would the faithful few Christians be except these spiritually wicked days be shortened?  “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.” Revelation 18:4-5
