I will never again go shopping on a Sunday.
Sundays in this community are becoming more about causing friction with human sentiments and the Spirit of Christ than it is about honoring the Word of God. The Lord’s Day is becoming a day plagued by those who receive the mark of the beast, the human robots. Every single Sunday they swarm the restaurants, shopping malls, and grocery stores. I quit going shopping on Sundays because of the agitation and strife that they cause. Sundays are no longer about communion with the Spirit of Christ and heartfelt fellowship with other believers. The Lord’s Day is becoming the day of the beast. They are contentious with those who choose the Spirit of Christ over the mark of the beast. There is a shortage of God’s love. Jesus is coming and the signs are everywhere. “The end of all things is near. Therefore, be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:7-8
My sister worked as a waitress for years and said that Sundays are the worst. “Church people” are so difficult to please. Often, she would be at the brink of tears after a day’s work on a Sunday. My aunt and uncle, in another state, would swarm with about 15-20 church members into a restaurant, every Sunday. She said they were difficult to deal with because they required several tables to be joined together and their orders were complicated. She felt sorry for their waiter/waitress. The Kroger’s where I shop at swarm with church people, and it is not pleasant. They look like they are loitering with their shopping cart and not shopping. They fill the store through-out the day. It didn’t matter what time of day that I went on Sunday, a crowd of church people were there. They made moving around through the aisles very difficult and they were always in front of a product that I wanted to buy. I would say “excuse me” and they acted deaf. I decided that the worst thing to do would be to poke them and I sure wasn’t going to raise my voice. This is my prayer, “Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, from the tumult of those who do iniquity” Psalm 64:2
I think the word abominable describes Sundays in this community. Those who swarm the community on Sunday are apparently desolate of the Spirit of Christ and desolate of God’s love. That reminds me of the abomination of desolation spoke about in Matthew 24, “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Matthew 24:15-16.
