A Stone Instead of Bread?

One of my sisters does it, one of my brothers does it and it’s a common experience when I’m out and about. They’re the people who will give me a stone when asking for bread and will give a snake when asking for a fish. If I show kindness, they expect me to be their servant or to be their Santa Claus. If I show joy then they will share a depressing story, and if I demonstrate peacefulness, they sound the alarm to warn me of possible storms to come. I know that they are trying to pollute my civil attitudes to foster negativity towards life in general. They absolutely avoid feeding agreement into a positively charged spirit. “… their bread will be like mourners’ bread. All who eat of it will be defiled, for their bread will be for themselves alone; It will not enter the house of the Lord.” Hosea 9:4

I think that anytime someone loves someone then life automatically comes with it. If you show love for someone then you want to feed into their health to prolong their life. If you show love, then you care about someone’s safety in a way that protects their life and not make them feel in jeopardy. If you show love, then you want someone to be around people who care about prolonging their life, not make them feel abandoned. If you show love, then you want someone to feel like they are worth living. A loving person wants a person to feel loved and to feel like living. God loves us that way, He loves us in a way that imparts life. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
Matthew 7:9-11
