5G is OK Until It’s Not

There are those people who warn about the evils of the 5G network, smart TVs, and every other new technological advance that arises. I happen to have 5G devices and a smart TV. That is far from saying that technology is frustration free, far from it. In fact, I understand why some people seem to still be living in the 3G age, which is being phased out in these more modern times. These people share the common cliche, “I’m not tech savvy”. Interestingly enough, when I have technological issues, which is frequent, it seems to always invade my best spiritual qualities. I’m convinced that technology can be used against those who choose Jesus Christ over the expectations of this new world. In the first hour of this morning, none of my smart home devices will activate by voice control, I couldn’t use my mouse to scroll my pages, and I was receiving email about posts on WordPress but wasn’t appearing on my WordPress Reader. That is more than a coincidence in my experience. I have feelings that I’m going to find myself living back in the 3G days. Whatever the future is, I know the plan that God has for me. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

This morning, I can be certain that God’s ultimate plan does not involve technology but is found in the Cross of Jesus Christ. This morning I read this, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 There is no confusion on my part that the thoughts and ways of this new world are not the same as the thoughts and ways of God.

Isaiah 55
