It’s Sour To Follow The Influences Of This World When Claiming To Follow God

One thing is for sure, it is not possible to follow the modern god of knowledge in this technological age while professing to follow Jesus Christ. In fact, a person who tries to live a life guided by God’s love, mercy, and kindness is in direct conflict with the current spirit that is in the world today! It’s horrifying that we can, without a doubt, say that the Spirit of Christ is being phased out of the workforce, the Church, the schools, and every area of public life. We who stand for faith in God, and believe in what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross, and welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit should not try to seek guidance from sources that have a totally different viewpoint for the direction of the future. For those who do, they are merely trying to enhance their standing in the eyes of this world, and to seek comfort from the agony of rejection for their faith in Jesus Christ.

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24

They add sin to sin like adding savings to more savings in a bank account. In some strange way, they seek to absorb themselves in the strength of the spirit of the anti-Christ, but it is to their shame. The system of the anti-Christ will only abuse and use them because the only true allegiance to the system of the anti-Christ is pure evil, exclusion, and viciousness. This is what the anti-Israel, anti-Jewish sentiments are all about! No matter what Israel attempts to do to strengthen themselves in this world, they suffer more and more extreme activism against them. That is the work of Satan who seeks to destroy and kill the womb that Jesus Christ came from. Likewise, it is the work of Satan to destroy and kill those who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

This last part of the last verse in today’s scripture text sums up the evilness within the spirit of this world; “They were all ashamed of a people who could not benefit them, or be help or benefit, But a shame and also a reproach.”  What does it take to be a benefit to leaders in a world that toss aside faith in God? The answer to that is horrid! What does it take to be a benefit to leaders who toss aside what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross? The answer to that is horrid! What does it take to be a benefit to leaders who toss aside the presence of the Holy Spirit? The answer to that is horrid!

The only answer to what is going on in the wickedness of this world is found at the Cross of Jesus Christ and His resurrection! It is there where we learn of the remission of sin and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Through the Spirit of Jesus Christ, there is resurrection of fellowship with the Spirit of God. God is love and we know we are children of God when we love one another. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Scripture Text
“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord, “Who take counsel, but not of Me, And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, That they may add sin to sin; Who walk to go down to Egypt, And have not asked My advice, To strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, And to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore the strength of Pharaoh shall be your shame, And trust in the shadow of Egypt Shall be your humiliation. For his princes were at Zoan, And his ambassadors came to Hanes. They were all ashamed of a people who could not benefit them, or be help or benefit, But a shame and also a reproach.”  Isaiah 30:1-5
