Working To Plant The Seed Of God, Which Is Jesus Christ

The Holy Bible is very good for directing our behavior, it is inspired by the Holy Spirit, for the purpose of producing positive attitudes and reducing destructive attitudes. This is God’s plan of redemption for humanity through what His Son Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross. This is very much different than the evil times we live in today, where there are positive reinforcements for bad behavior and negative feedback for goodness in the soul. The spirit of the anti-Christ is intensifying in strength day by day. But, Jesus Christ is coming soon in victory over this world. As we approach the beginning of the beautiful season of Spring, we can also anticipate the “Spring Offensive” which commits violence on a nationally recognized level. Through all the harassment, stress, and aggravation suffered at the hands of these anarchist, be faithful to God in the Spirit of Christ. “To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”  Revelation 3:21

Let’s look at today’s scripture verses in light of positive reinforcement and negative feedback, because this world uses these tactics to influence our behavior.

“Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.” God gives us positive rewards from hearing His voice through His Son Jesus Christ. The present world uses every negative tactic possible to suppress our faith in God, to silence our testimony of what Jesus Christ has done on the Cross, and to attack the presence of the Holy Spirit in our life. Instead, they give positive rewards for hearing and doing according to the spirit of the anti-Christ. Jesus Christ wants us to be in tune with the Spirit of God; “Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”    Matthew 7:24

“Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground? When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?” As is obvious in this verse, the Holy Spirit gives no praise at all for working, working, and working, without receiving some sort of positive reward for the work. “So then neither is he that plants any thing, neither he that waters; but God that giveth the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:7 The work that we do is to plant seed that God is able to bless according to His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. The positive reinforcement is to plant seed through the Spirit of Christ so that can give the increase. Our faith must continue in these perilous times; “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”  Hebrews 11:6

The work we do must be geared to reinforcing the remission of sin through Jesus Christ and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The world today deceives us into working, working, and working and not laying one seed that leads to the production of the fruit of the Spirit. Instead, it is as Daniel says; “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

The following verse reveals how this world gives negative feedback for treating one another with loving kindness. When it talks about fitches should not be threshed with a threshing instrument, and the wheel of a cart is not used to run over cummin, this is like saying a person doesn’t run over strawberries to remove the green stem. Tragically, in this world today, the spirit of the anti-Christ is not gentle at all with tender qualities. A child-like spirit is treated with harshness even as children themselves lose their playful spirit. The anti-Christ gives positive reinforcement for hazing tender qualities and gives negative feedback for love, kindness, goodwill, meekness, gentleness, joy, and goodness. God gives positive reinforcement for loving kindness, and negative feedback for blaspheme of the Holy Spirit.  “For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him. For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod. Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen. This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.”

“Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.”  Matthew 12:31

“And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”   Acts 2:18-21
