The body has several imports to absorb the external environment, and one main export for delivering back into the environment. We import from the environment with our ears and eyes, but we export into the environment with the words that flow from our tongue! Everything is filtered according to what lives in our soul, what characterizes our spirit, and the way we think. May we desire to be filled with God the Holy Spirit by accepting Jesus Christ into our heart! We can prayerfully ask with the Psalmist, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalms 19:14
We live in evil times where the option to fill our spirit and soul with the Spirit of Christ is being taken away from us. The spirit of the anti-Christ is seen in behavioral modification tactics! There is negative feedback with social and financial consequences for having faith in God, for professing Jesus Christ as Lord, and for welcoming the infilling of the Holy Spirit. There are positive rewards for conforming to the modern god of knowledge and banning against Judeo-Christian values. Jesus Christ said this; “And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23 In today’s scripture reference, Isaiah, through the Holy Spirit says, “the desire of our soul is to Thy name, and to the remembrance of Thee. With my soul have I desired Thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek Thee early: for when Thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.”
We know who we serve because of the fruit that blossom in our words, from our heart, and within our spirit. With Isaiah, we should desire to see that… “The way of the just is uprightness: Thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. Yea, in the way of Thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for Thee;” While we see and hear much evil surrounding us in this world, it is not what the world throws at us that pollutes our spirit and soul. We must remain in the way of the Cross of Christ Jesus, to be upright, to wait in the Judgments of the Lord, and know that God has us in His balances. What pollutes our spirit and soul is what we allow to come out through our words and behaviors. Jesus Christ tells us, “Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray with the Psalmist, “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Psalms 51:7 Please, come to the Cross of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
