The Wolf Will Dwell With The Lamb And A Child Will Lead Them

Imagine a child as young as twelve or so leading zoo animals down a path! You might be walking towards the child, and approaching you comes a wolf, a lamb, a leopard, a goat, a calf, and a young lion. That might be somewhat of a panicky experience, but what would you think when you saw the young child leading the herd of animals down the path?! The young child leading the animals testifies to the tame gentleness of the herd mixed with a variety of species. But, then you see them reach their destination at a feeding station, but what a surprise in store watching them eat! The lion and ox are eating straw together, and the cow and bear are eating together too! While those animals are eating, you notice a child playing with a cobra and the just-weaned child is holding a hand over another asp den! The snakes are as harmless as night crawlers! And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

The above paragraph is the picture that Isaiah draws for us of the peacefulness within the Kingdom of God, the New Jerusalem, when Christ Jesus returns! This is restoring all of creation to the state that it was in at the Garden of Eden! Yes! Vegetarian lions and wolves were in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, before their disobedience to God. When the fallen nature of our flesh accepts what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross, it is promised, “…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

In the kingdom of this world, we become new in spirit, soul, and body when we accept what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross. There is much vicious sin in today’s world, such as the predatory heart within mankind like a lion, wolf, and leopard! HOWBEIT, being born again feeds the spirit with the first fruits of the glorified body in the New Jerusalem! We feel within us the changes that will be 100% complete when we enter into the Kingdom of God. The Spirit of Christ and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit within us on this earth is a down payment of what we will receive in the New Jerusalem! Even the vicious sinful predators will experience the first fruits of their Heavenly body as they are born again! “For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

Jesus Christ told us to beware of wolves in sheep clothing! We know He was talking about people coming across as a peaceful person, but actually meant to do harm to those believing in Him. Even so, those wolves in sheep clothing can have a change of heart when they accept what Christ Jesus has done for them at the Cross. The vicious predator that arises from sin is washed away, made dormant, rendered inactive, and made to do nothing in words and actions. The wolf really does dwell with the lamb when the Spirit of Christ lives though the spirit, soul, and body! It is true that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Becoming born again is for everyone, including people who have the sinful heart of a lion, leopard, and bear; these beasts would prey on the lamb, cow, and calf before a reborn spirit emerged! They become so new that a young child could lead them and be playful without any fear of being harmed, abused, kidnapped, or anything else.

All of us who accept what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross will experience what Isaiah spoke to us about in the scripture today. By the remission of sin, we really can feel the first fruits of our glorified body living within our soul, spirit, and body! These first fruits make us anticipate the day that we enter into the Kingdom of God, the New Jerusalem. We enter in as a little child! We are joyfully set apart from the vicious and predatory nature of the kingdom of this world; and we joyfully accept our citizenship in the Kingdom of God. Salvation is for the whosoever, including those with a heart as a lion, bear, and leopard. Salvation creates within us a new creature with the first fruits of our glorified body. “For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord!
