God Executes Judgment, Putting Down One and Lifting Up Another

Eve felt that she and Adam would be as gods and be as wise as the Living God who created them by doing something that was disobedient to God. It was the pride of life and their ego partly involved in what Satan appealed to. This is what happened to the subject of the scripture text today!  The king of Assyria, full of pride and ego, thought he was powerful enough to conquer nations without the leading of the Living God! In reality, the king was a tool of the One True God to come against a hypocritical nation. The king of Assyria was so full of ego that he felt that his princes were kings, which is another way of saying that he felt his assistants were equal to the kings of all the other nations. That’s egotistical, to say that his lesser men are equal to the  kings in other nations. That king must of felt elevated to a position equal to God. Instead of being like God, the king of Assyria had only one intent; to destroy and to conquer many nations beyond God’s intent. Like Adam and Eve, it would mean his fall! This is the spirit of the anti-Christ, but God would not allow that king to do any more stealing, killing, and destroying than what was permitted by God’s Judgment. It is written, “For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.”

Hypocrites, phonies, liars, two-faced, and other such terms define someone who is not well-liked by the majority of a well-adjusted society. If someone becomes angry at a hypocrite, many people will probably feel that anger towards the hypocrite was well justified. In relations to the Living God, a hypocrite is someone who claims to be living a life full of love for God, but actually is working to increase their own esteem, pride, and ego. Where the Spirit of Christ should be flowing through them, they actually have no concern for the remission of sin nor for living life in the Holy Spirit. Within the heart of the king of Assyria, he possessed anger, indignation, and wrath towards the hypocrites of the world! That was his opportunity to conquer and to plunder the land to make himself more powerful and wealthy.

The spirit of the anti-Christ is very deceitful, cunning, and destructive. The anti-Christ will come to power in a way that will deceive many, and have them applauding, because he will have a rage against the many transgressors and hypocrites in the world! The anti-Christ is not doing the purge through the Spirit of Christ, but only to usher in his system. The solution to the drug epidemic, according to the anti-Christ, is not an issue related to the sin within the soul and spirit.

When drug users gradually disappear and things begin to look better, people applaud, but they miss the information on the epidemic of death associated with drug use. HOWBEIT, the Spirit of Christ addresses the issue of sin in the spirit and soul, and gives those addicts new life through the Holy Spirit. We who abide in Christ overcomes he who is in the world because Christ gives us integrity by rendering our sin inactive, dormant, and made to do nothing. Satan can only gain dominion over us through sin, including the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Only the One True God can execute righteous judgment, “For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.”

One thing for sure, Satan, through the anti-Christ, has no intention of executing any type of indignation on behalf of the Living God, God has a plan of redemption for the whosoever. The anti-Christ is not in the business of redemption of the soul and spirit of humanity, but his only purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy all things related to the Message of the Cross. The anti-Christ has no intention of stopping when he is done pouring out scourge on the hypocrites! His pride, ego, and quest for power will continue to the point of persecuting the Children of God, those born-again at the Cross of Christ. Satan will proudly declare how superior his knowledge is, and how superior his head of states are. The anti-Christ will make war on many nations, and that assault is totally contrary to God’s plan of redemption for the whosoever. In today’s world, the Message of the Cross is scarcely heard, love is becoming cold, transgressors are increasing in numbers, and the Holy Spirit is rejected. BUT, the Spirit of Christ in us is greater than the spirit in the world. In Christ Jesus, we overcome the world, the flesh, and Satan!

This is the spirit of the anti-Christ, “As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?” As stated here, after Satan destroys the hypocrites, he intends to attack the Children of God. Satan and the anti-Christ can only use us through our sin, sin which also includes hatred, violence, pessimism, and fatal attitudes towards the One True God, His Son Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. May we be set apart from the kingdom of this world and live for the Kingdom of God through the Spirit of Christ. May we accept what Christ Jesus has done for us on the Cross.

Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Scripture Text
“O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. Howbeit he means not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few. For he says, Are not my princes altogether kings? Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus? As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?”                                 Isaiah 10:5-11 King James Version (KJV)

“For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.”
Psalms 75:6-7
