I was watching the massive caravan of migrants journeying through Mexico and heading towards the United States Border. I believe there were about 5000 or so at that time. I thought to myself, on the day of Pentecost there were that many souls saved in one day by the moving of the Holy Spirit. Why could it not happen in the case of these searching and displaced migrants who have no place to call their home in this world? Could it really be that their soul and spirit is too hardened to accept what Christ Jesus did for them at the Cross? “For wickedness burns as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.” In other words, a fire starts small, grows exponentially, and the smoke rises in the sky.
There is also a very nasty spirit in the world that is leaving thousands and thousands of people abandoned in all parts of the world! Globally. the gap between the rich and poor is growing, and this is a result of the “economic prosperity” of the New World Order! Many people associate these caravans as wickedness; wickedness for the country they flee from and wickedness for the country they seek to take refuge in. In that case, there is a fiery storm amidst us! “Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people will be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.” We need the Goodness and Lovingkindness of the Living God. “For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.”
“And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm.”
There is scarcity in being able to receive the true message of the Living God, to hear of the redemption that comes through the Cross of Christ, and a real scarcity of the presence of the Holy Spirit. The world is chaotic, uncaring, and many people are literally left without a home in the kingdom of this world! Without the Spirit of Christ Jesus, the migrant situation could very easily turn violent because the Holy Spirit is not there to grant peace in their heart. The spirit of the anti-Christ is strongly in this world today! Satan seeks to kill, steal, and destroy!
Obviously, love is becoming cold…who is there who really loves the Living God with all their heart, soul and mind; or who is there who really loves their neighbor as themselves? People have made the modern god of knowledge in this technological age more important than the universal Lovingkindness of the Living God. In this godless world, there is no plan of redemption for those seeking refuge…but at the Cross of Christ there IS! We who are born-again in this perilous age can sincerely say, for You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. While those of the kingdom of this world say the name of God with emptiness, with no meaning, and with spite, we Children of the Kingdom of God rest in the Spirit of Christ! Who is there among the caravan wondering in this world are willing to submit themselves to worldly powers in their homeland? Who is there in this godless world willing to submit to the authority of the Living God?
The visibility of the massive quantities of migrants around the world is just the tip of the ice-berg relating to the briers, thorns, and thickets that exist in the hearts and minds of people everywhere! Those thickets, thorns, and briers are fuel for the fire. Very easily, the troubled minds and emotions that exists in the hearts of the migrants are a sign of the darkness that exists in countries globally. While we are seeing the fires of violence and threats of violence growing everyday, there is evidence in the massive caravans of migrants that there is no rest soon to come in the kingdom of this world. Where will they hear of the redemption plan of God through His Son Jesus Christ? We must declare, “for You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You”.
Rest comes from the Kingdom of God when we separate ourselves from the kingdom of this world to abide in the Spirit of Christ. As the wheat and tares grow together, we are to be a Light to shine in the darkness! Due to a lack of the Bread of Life, we devour one another with violence, death, and murder. Where is the trust and faithfulness towards one another when the Spirit of Christ has become the enemy? Love is becoming cold! The spirit of the anti-Christ is in this world, BUT Jesus is coming soon! Meanwhile, Satan operates within the sin of humanity to steal peace from the kingdom of this world, to kill the Spirit of Christ, and to destroy the Redemptive plan of God. Lift up Holy hands by shunning the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life!
We all are migrants traveling through the kingdom of this world to reach the New Jerusalem within the Kingdom of God! The Living God has a plan of redemption to reconcile our spirit to His Spirit. A Spirit of Faithfulness, Perseverance, Peace, and Lovingkindness. We enter into the New Jerusalem and fellowship with the Spirit of God through Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus gave His life on the Cross to put remission to our sin, to make it dormant, and to render it inactive. When we abide in Christ, we no longer have the same spirit and desires of those living for the kingdom of this world. We are set apart from the kingdom of this world. Greater is Christ who is in me then he who is in this world! Our desires are defined through the Spirit of Christ for the salvation of migrants everywhere, to lead them into the Kingdom of God. Because Christ was raised from the dead into a glorified body and ascended up into heaven, we also know we too will be resurrected and ascend to be with Him. Jesus Christ is coming soon and we will be with Him!
Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord!
“For wickedness burns as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother. And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm: Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.”
