Their Heart Was Moved As The Trees Of The Wood Are Moved With The Wind

“Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?”               Matthew 26:52-54

King Ahaz was a wicked person who ruled over the Tribe of Judah. Meanwhile, two other kings decided to join forces to try and remove king Ahaz from power. They must of felt that they would be doing the Living God a favor! The two kings were the king of Syria and the king of Jerusalem. The interesting point is that from the Tribe of Judah descended Christ Jesus! Another interesting point is that the two kings failed to remove the wicked king Ahaz from ruling over the Tribe of Judah. Another interesting point is that it was not in God’s plan to deal with king Ahaz by using military force. In other words, the king of Syria and king of Jerusalem were disobedient to God’s plan of dealing with king Ahaz. The two kings had their own version of good and evil and what the proper response should be. They failed. We still suffer today from Adam and Eve’s decision to eat the fruit of the tree of good and evil. BUT, when the House of David heard that the two kings joined forces against the king who ruled over the Tribe of Judah, it moved their heart as the trees of the wood are moved in the wind! That is the movement of the Holy Ghost in the hearts and minds of the obedient Children of God. From that movement of the Holy Ghost, God’s plan would be set in motion!

It was definitely well-intended for the two kings to try to rescue the Tribe of Judah from an evil king. After all, Christ Jesus would descend from the Tribe of Judah. Although the king of Jerusalem and king of Syria had limited knowledge of the importance of the Tribe of Judah relating to the coming of Jesus Christ, they were well aware that they wanted to rescue God’s people from tyranny! BUT, we cannot take into our own hands what can only be done by God’s Spirit. It requires a movement of the Holy Ghost to move hearts and minds, something that no instruments of war can accomplish! While in the kingdom of this world, Christ Jesus tells us that the wheat and tares should be left to grow together! The evil will live among the Children of God. In the final analysis, the Children of God will have an eternal Home in the New Jerusalem, but the wicked will be burned in the place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. We are cautioned to keep oil of the Holy Ghost burning in us to let our light shine in an evil day.

The anti-Christ rules over the world as he makes an effort to destroy anything to do with the Living God, the Message of the Cross of Jesus Christ, and the moving of the Holy Ghost. Many people want to make a stand against the ant–Christ and his destructive policies that destroy the legacy of God the Father, the Son, and Holy Ghost! Many have it in their own hearts and minds the knowledge of good and evil; they feel passionately that they cannot stand idly by and allow their American culture and way of life be destroyed! They want to do the right thing but is it God’s thing? God’s way is to move the heart and mind with the Holy Ghost; to move the heart as the trees of the wood are moved in the wind! In God’s eyes, if the Tribe of Judah was destroyed by an evil king, then His plan of redeeming mankind would be destroyed. His Son Jesus Christ was already established to descend from the Tribe of Judah. There was too much on the line for God to allow the armies of the kingdom of this world to attempt to defeat the armies in spiritually dark places. Satan makes war against the Living God, what His Son did for us on the Cross, and the movement of the Holy Ghost. Victory is always won when the heart and mind is moved with the Holy Ghost; to have the heart moved as the trees of the wood are moved in the wind!

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The battle against the anti-Christ is on a level far beyond the resources of the kingdom of this world. That is the reason that the Living God sent His Son Jesus Christ to atone for sin. Without the activity of sin, Satan and all the powers of darkness cannot operate in what we do and say. Abiding in Christ Jesus puts sin into remission, it becomes dormant, made to do nothing through us, and is inactive.

Within sin, Satan will use us to steal, kill, and destroy! Christ Jesus came to GIVE! To give life and to restore our spirit and soul, a restoration that unites our spirit with the Spirit of God. In God’s Spirit our heart and mind is moved with the Holy Ghost, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind. In the movement of the Holy Ghost is our victory in a dark, evil, and wicked world. What Christ Jesus did at the Cross makes it all happen. We are the wheat among the tares, lighted lamps full of oil among dark lamps with no oil, we are the Children of God amidst the wiles of the anti-Christ! Because of what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross, we are set apart from the ways of this world. We understand clearly that we wrestle not against flesh blood, but victory is in the movement of the Holy Ghost in our heart and mind. A movement that is like the trees of wood moved with the wind.

Scripture Text
“And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it. And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.”
Isaiah 7:1-2

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.                                    Ephesians 6:12
