The only sinless city is not within the kingdom of this world, but the sinless City is within the Kingdom of God. It is called the New Jerusalem and comes down from Heaven. Every one in that Holy City of the New Jerusalem will be called Holy. That is, every one who is written among the living in Jerusalem. Which is very close to saying that every name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be called Holy and will reside in the Holy City.
Entry into that New Jerusalem comes AFTER the filth is washed away and the blood is purged. Blood represents life, and when blood is taken from another then it is a tragedy. For example, the deep blood poured out at Armageddon is a tragedy that will be purged before the Eternal rule of God from the New Jerusalem. How will the filth be washed and the guilt of blood purged? We are washed and justified by our faith in what Christ Jesus does for us on the Cross. Jesus Christ is the door and allows passage into the Holy City of the New Jerusalem as He abides in us to cleanse our sin and purge us of guilt. By the Spirit of Judgment we are justified by our faith in what Christ did for us on the Cross, and by the Spirit of Burning the sin nature is purged. That is the work of the Spirit of Christ within our heart and mind.
Envision the Jewish Nation who remains in Jerusalem during the reign of the anti-Christ, and during the Battle of Armageddon, just before the Second Coming of Christ Jesus! That requires a tremendous amount of dedication, faith, perseverance, and devotion to the God that they serve. A devotion so deep that those Jewish people refuse to bow to the demands of the anti-Christ! By that faith they are justified by God because those remaining in Jerusalem will accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. They will be washed of their filth and purged of blood.
Even today, we know the terrible fate that Israel must be suffering! If the United States is fighting a battle for the right to serve Christ Jesus through the Message of Cross, imagine what the nation of the birth place of Jesus Christ must be enduring. We must stand in support of Israel! While we all cannot live in Jerusalem, we all are the Temple of God, in a manner of speaking we all are residents of the New Jerusalem within our soul and spirit. We know we have a Home in the Kingdom of God because the Bible says that those who accept what Christ did for us on the Cross will have the filth of sin washed away and we will be free of guilt and shame. We must endure and be faithful during these days when Satan is trying to rid the world of the Living God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Knowledge and information of the modern god will never replace the Grace, Mercy, Compassion and Saving Power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We know that we who accept what Christ did for us on the Cross are strangely connected to the Nation of Israel, God’s people. Strange because those born of the Cross of Christ will stand for those who do not yet recognize Christ Jesus as the Son of God and Savior of the world. That is the miracle of God’s Spirit! It’s almost as if to wave good-bye and hello at the same time that we are Raptured and seeing Israel remaining on Earth. BUT, at the same time we shout, “We’ll be back with the Calvary!” Leading the Calvary is Christ Jesus Himself, the Lamb of God, the Light and the Glory of the New Jerusalem! It is Christ who washes our sin away at the Cross; that sin is made dormant, rendered inactive, and made to do nothing through our body. The blood spilt on the grounds of the earthly Jerusalem will not be held against those who look up to see Christ coming and proclaims, “My Lord and My God, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
“And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remains in Jerusalem, will be called Holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord will have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and will have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the Spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.” Isaiah 4:3-4
No one is perfect, which is to say that we are all flawed by sin. God honors that humble attitude. We all know someone whose life has been changed because of what Christ did on the Cross to remit sin. I am one. God honors that belief. Confessing that we are flawed with sin, and believing in the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross will reconcile us to God. That simple! Believe in the heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
