The Holy Ghost tells us plainly that there is God’s way and the way of the world. Those whose heart is turned toward the Kingdom of God are willing and obedient to the ways of God. In God’s way, we enjoy the good of the land. All good things flow to us from the Kingdom of God through the Cross of Christ. In the kingdom of this world are those who refuse and rebel against the Kingdom of God. Satan and the powers of darkness tries to gain dominion over the flesh through the enticements on this earth. The result of Satan’s deception, to cause us to sin by rejection of and rebellion towards God’s plan of redemption, is to be devoured with the sword. When we refuse to welcome the remission of rebellion, then the good of the land will be overtaken with murder, harm, death, and violence. When we accept the remission of rebellion that comes to us through the Cross of Christ, then we will experience the good of the land through a meek and gentle Spirit of peace. If we are willing and obedient we will eat the good of the land!
The good of the land comes to us because we are willing to accept God’s plan of redemption by being obedient to the purpose of the Cross of Christ. That purpose is to remit the sin of rebellion by rendering it inactive, dormant, and causing it to do nothing through the actions of our body. With the remission of sin comes the Holy Ghost to usher in the New Covenant by allowing all humanity to experience the infilling of God’s peace, meekness, and gentleness. If we are willing and obedient we will eat the good of the land! Rebellion is enlivened within sin because we are enticed with the things of the kingdom of this world while rejecting the good that flows from the Kingdom of God. Satan steals, kills, and destroys the good of the land to enliven death, destruction, and violence. The sword devours. Howbeit, Satan is defeated at the Cross of Christ, and Christ restores peace through a willing and obedient heart to accept the Living God. If we are willing and obedient we will eat the good of the land!
We are set apart from the refusal and rebellion that exists in this world against the Living God, His Son Jesus Christ who gave His life on the Cross, and the Holy Ghost. We are set apart from rendering our body to the violence, murder, and harm that rages in the kingdom of this world. We are set apart to eat of the good land within the Kingdom of God. We are the Temple of God, therefore our heart and mind possesses the desire of a willing and obedient attitude for the infilling of God’s Holy Ghost. If we are willing and obedient, our heart will be full of the good of the land that flows from the Kingdom of God. Howbeit, Satan wants to destroy and kill the Temple of God by stealing away the work that Christ is doing within us through His work on the Cross. Very simply, refuse the rebellion that might exist in your spirit and soul; be willing and obedient to eat the good of the land that flows into your spirit and soul. If we are willing and obedient we will eat the good of the land!
“If you be willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land: But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.”
Isaiah 1:19-21 King James Version (KJV)
No one is perfect, which is to say that we are all flawed by sin. God honors that humble attitude. We all know someone whose life has been changed because of what Christ did on the Cross to remit sin. I am one. God honors that belief. Confessing that we are flawed with sin, and believing in the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross will reconcile us to God. That simple! Believe in the heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
