Town Leaders Unjustly Sentence Christ As Citizens Harass Christ’s Followers

While people in places of authority endeavor to put to death the belief in God, the citizens who serve under them go about harassing those who embrace the Living God. In contrast, while authority embraces the belief in the Living God, then the citizens under them are free to speak openly of their belief in the Living God. The first scenario is very much what we are experiencing in our society today, and worldwide! While Christ was suffering the abuse of unjust sentencing in a court of law, Peter was amidst citizens who kept harassing him with accusations of being Christ’s follower. Those citizens threatened Peter’s safety to the point of coercing Peter to deny his faith in Christ. Peter had the ultimate victory, and with Christ could say, “Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Meanwhile, the leadership of those citizens crucified Christ on the Cross, as a criminal, rooted in false allegations! Their aim was to eliminate any belief that did not fit neatly into their power and authority within this world. BUT, we are not of this world…we belong to the Kingdom of God where Christ is glorified and the citizens therein know how to love one another! We who are born of the Cross of Christ are able to say, “Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus is coming soon!

The modern god of this technological age is endeavoring to set itself up as God within the Temple of God, our body. People in authority locally, global governments, and managers in every type of job sectors are consistently destroying everything the Living God represents. Meanwhile, people who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth their belief in the Living God are marked as being defiant to this age of “tolerance.” They are considered to be defiant to the dictates of the modern god. BUT, we are able to say with Christ, “Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus is coming soon! Untrue newspaper articles,  television media lies, and propaganda of all types are common terms used to identify the unjust sentencing of any who dare defies the power structure of this technological age. Meanwhile, common citizens who proclaim Jesus as Lord, and accept what He has done for us on the Cross for the remission of sin, are subtly threatened and intimidated to deny faith in Christ. BUT, we will stand with Christ to say, “Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus is coming soon!

God’s plan of redemption is to reconcile mankind to Himself through the shed Blood of His Son Jesus Christ. Because of Adam’s fall, we are marred by sin, and through that sin Satan persistently attempts to set himself in the Seat of God. That sin, which Satan operates through, will kill and destroy those who refuse to bow down and worship him. Today, Satan is using the modern god of this technological age to do just that. In the power structures of governments, Churches, and the workforce, there is an unjust sentencing of those who serve the Living God. Christ Jesus defeated Satan at the Cross, and with Christ we are able to say, “Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus is coming soon! We can say this because we do not deny our faith in the face of the godless harassment and coercion of this world. We belong to the Kingdom of God where there is love one for another. Because our sin is in remission, the Holy Ghost infills us to keep us from the evil one, and to set us apart from the society that is beginning to form the system of the anti-Christ. When sin is in remission, Satan is not able to guide our behavior, but we belong to God through the beauty of Holiness. God is Holy, His Son Jesus Christ washes away sin, and the His Holy Ghost empowers us daily. Because of what Christ did for us on the Cross, we can say, “Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus is coming soon!

Scripture Reading
“Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?  But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

“Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech betrayeth thee. Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.”
Matthew 26:59-75
