Keep The Light On, Jesus Is Coming!

“Keep the porch light on, I’ll be home late tonight!” That is a phrase that used to be heard many times by many people everywhere. During Jesus’s day, keeping oil in the lamp while waiting for the return of somebody has the same essence. In fact, Jesus said it was wise to keep oil in the lamp while waiting for His return, and foolish for the lamp to be empty of oil. Keep the Light on, Jesus is coming! The foolish didn’t have their light on because they had no oil in their lamp. The bridegroom came while they were out trying to buy some oil, but they should of had their light turned on already! Too late for them to welcome Jesus into their home! The wise had their light turned on because there was oil in their lamp. The foolish wanted to borrow the oil from the wise. But, the type of oil that God gives cannot be loaned or borrowed because it is a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ! Because the light of the wise were turned on, they were ready to welcome the coming of Jesus. Keep the Light on, Jesus is coming!

The Great Tribulation is a time of tumultuous social chaos and tremendous persecution of anything relating to the things of God and the Children born from the Cross of Christ. The persecution comes from Satan through those living by the ways of the world and for the flesh. They reject what Christ has done for us at the Cross, and that drains the Oil and brings spiritual darkness. Children of darkness detest the Cross of Christ. Around that time, will be the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! During this time of great difficulty for the Children of God, we are told to keep the light on because Jesus is coming. The Oil in the Lamp is the Holy Ghost, which is a Light to the world and a Flame that purges internal sin. Those having the Light of the Holy Ghost burning in their Spirit are dead to the ways of the world, the flesh, and dead to Satan. The Children of Light are alive to the Spirit! Those without the Oil will be living in the darkness of evil and are involved in persecuting those who follow the Message of the Cross. As the coming of Christ draws near, those living in darkness will be trying to deprive you of the Oil within yourself, and will even try to give you material wealth in expectation that you extinguish the Light of the Holy Ghost! BUT, keep your Light on, Jesus is coming! The Door is locked to those whose spirit is darkened with an evil spirit, but the Door is open to those whose spirit shines with the Holy Ghost. That is the Door into the Kingdom of God and the New Jerusalem!

God’s plan is to reconcile all people to Himself by giving to us the Light of the world! That Light is God’s Son Jesus Christ who gave His Life on the Cross so that we can have the Oil to put into our lamp. Because of what Jesus did on the Cross, the Holy Ghost is freely given to all people who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. It’s not something we can take from others, and it is not something we can have in exchange for worldly gains. We receive the Oil in our lamp by the remission of sin, and that sin is nailed to the Cross. As sin becomes less, the Light of the Holy Ghost becomes more; but as sin increases then darkness, lawlessness, and evil increases. Christ comes to live in our soul and spirit through the Holy Ghost, and that is the Light that Shines through us. Keep the Light on, Jesus is coming! We live in the Spirit because we die to the flesh. As the days of the Great Tribulation inches steadily forward, which is evident in the suppression of the Message of the Cross, we are urged to separate ourselves from the world. Light has no fellowship with darkness. Stay away from activities where the Light of the Holy Ghost does not exist. Keep the Light on because Jesus is coming!

The Message of the Cross is not being preached in most Churches today! The Great Tribulation is inching steadily forward and Jesus Christ is coming soon! This weekend, on Saturday September 01, 2018, there is a Church advertising a great display of fireworks, free food, huge bounce houses, and not one word about what Christ has done for us on the Cross. The Oil in the lamp of the Church is running out! The Light of the  Holy Ghost is growing dimmer and dimmer as the ways of the world is growing darker and darker. Remember when tent revivals, outdoor revivals, and sport stadium revivals use to replace hot dogs, fireworks, and bounce houses?! Even so, keep the Light of the Holy Ghost burning in your Spirit in this evil and dark world. Be faithful to God through the Cross of His Son Jesus Christ! Keep the Light on, Jesus is coming soon!

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”                              Matthew 25:1-13
