A man rejected by his own family, community, and employees, but they all knew that he had lived his life to avoid and abstain from corruption and evilness. He was a good man who honored the Living God. His family was alienated from him, acquaintances in the community completely estranged themselves, his relatives left him, his closest friends forgot him, guests in his house and female employees looked at him as an outsider, his employees would not obey him, his wife was offended by him, he was loathsome to his own family, the small children scorned and ridiculed him, his intimate friends detested him, those he loved turned against him. Worst yet, they accused him of being something totally opposite of what he was in reality. He purposed to be perfect and upright in the eyes of the Living God, they called him wicked.
The modern god of this technological age wants to be feared and reverenced as God. So much so that any disrespect to that modern god is a violation of community standards! Those who serve the Living God who has a Son named Jesus Christ are in violation of those community standards. They are be considered “corrupt,” full of “sin,” and “rebellious” to god, their god. Upright and perfect people in the eyes of God are regarded by the technological god as being rebellious and not worthy of social life. That is what happened to the man talked about in the scriptures below. People came in the name of God to counsel Job, treating Job like a corrupt, evil, and wicked man. The modern god will attack your life in society for not serving their Godless agenda! They will alienate you from family harmony, acquaintances will no longer be friendly, and relatives will not come to visit. Close friends will abandon you, and when guests come to visit others in the home, those guests will treat you as an outsider. Only because you are a perfect and upright person in the eyes of the Living God. Anyone under your authority will ignore you, no matter how much you try to reason with them. Even your own spouse and family will find you offensive. The children will scorn and ridicule you and your most intimate friends will detest you.
While the system of the Anti-Christ will persecute the Children of God, those born of the Cross of Christ, there is a promise; “And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” Our most valued treasures are not those found in this world, but are those found according to what Christ has done for us on the Cross. We have an eternal home in the New Jerusalem with many family and friends. No one is perfect and upright because we are all infected by the sin nature due to the Fall of Man. However, because we have faith in the Incarnation of Christ and what His death accomplished on the Cross, we are justified by that faith. In God’s eyes we are perfect and upright because we accept the remission of the sin nature that happens when we accept Jesus Christ as Lord. Whosoever that has lost houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for Jesus’s sake, will receive a hundred times that, and will inherit everlasting life. We separate ourselves from the ways of this world, but we have a Home in the New Jerusalem awaiting us. As persecution of those redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb steadily increases, we are assured that the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is soon!
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
“He has alienated my family from me; my acquaintances are completely estranged from me. My relatives have gone away; my closest friends have forgotten me. My guests and my female servants count me a foreigner; they look on me as on a stranger. I summon my servant, but he does not answer, though I beg him with my own mouth. My breath is offensive to my wife; I am loathsome to my own family. Even the little boys scorn me; when I appear, they ridicule me. All my intimate friends detest me; those I love have turned against me. I am nothing but skin and bones; I have escaped only by the skin of my teeth.” Job 1:1 and Job 19:13-20
