Captivity to Gender, Appearances, and Addictions

There are many people who can claim that they are held captive to the genetics that they are born with. People who have sex changes to change from a male to a female, or a female to a male, want to identify with who they are inwardly. Those who are under addiction to drugs and alcohol understand that their personality is one that is prone to substance abuse. There are those who use their body as a canvas for artwork of tattoos, some having their whole faces tattooed into the image of horns and fangs. All those things relating to gender, addictions, or appearances relate to the fleshly nature of the human body. They rely on many psychological and medical procedures for altering fleshly proclivities, but consider nothing of the changes possible through the Spirit.

The news media is not going to advertise those being born of the Spirit after sex changes. They are not going to advertise those being born of the Spirit leading to freedom from addiction, and they are not going to advertise the born again person who previously tattooed the face to look like Satan. Even though the body perishes, the soul and spirit is redeemable by the blood of Christ shed on the Cross. Satan wants to hold people captivity to the sin nature of the flesh by keeping them blind to the power flowing through the blood of Christ shed at the Cross. There is a slim chance of people recovering physically from sex changes, but they are redeemed through the Spirit. There is probably a slim chance of having the body cleansed from Satanic tattoos, but they are redeemed through the Spirit. There is probably a slim chance of addicts recovering from the damage done to their body, but they are redeemed through the Spirit.

Satan came to steal our body away from God, to destroy the Temple of God, and to kill physically in every way possible. However, God has already defeated Satan! His Son,  Christ Jesus, shed His blood on the Cross to bring remission of the sin that leads to captivity through gender issues, addictions, and the need to rely on appearances. The soul and spirit is redeemed by God’s love, kindness, and goodwill towards us. While Satan might destroy and make a mockery of the body, the blood of the Lamb of God gives life through the Spirit. The soul and spirit of every person is redeemable even though the body perishes.
