Storms of Life Are Calmed By What?

There are a lot of storms that come by the way of the oceans and the winds. Hurricanes and tornadoes are devastating, and so are strong windy storms that are lesser than the massive storms. They often come in such a way that not only one family has to rebuild their lives, but whole neighborhoods, cities, and countries. Puerto Rico is a country that was just about blown off the map by hurricanes. Worldwide, there are storms created by humanity. Violence, terrorism, gangs, drugs, human trafficking, political corruption, and torrents of sexual abuse. No one is safe! Everyone is suffering mentally, emotionally, and physically. Including police officers, family unity, school children, and definitely Church traditions. Satan is killing and destroying to steal this world.

It is obvious that there is a worldwide agenda to change the way the world operates. Everyone is fed up with the windy storms and not only pray for change, but demand it! The change they seek is not one that brings us into a relationship with the God the Creator. Even if it is obvious that hatred, ill-will, cruelty, violence, harshness, aggression, despair, evilness, pessimism, fatal behaviors, impatience, and out of control behaviors are from the fleshy nature. It’s as if they expect some type of sy-fy technology to eliminate the degradation of the soul. Yet, they refuse to allow God to be a part of the process of changing the soul.

God gave us His son to die on the Cross as a blood sacrifice to put an end to the long history of the bloody massacre of animals. Awaken Christ into our soul, and the sinful nature that causes storms abates, and we live a new life in the Spirit. Within the spirit of God, we feel His love for the world, His patience, and His perseverance. Turning to sy-fy solutions when the storms come is not the solution, but looking to the Cross is the answer.

“Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
Matthew 8:23-27
